“The workers are always super nice. It always looks super clean. We order there at least once a week. Food sometimes is really great and sometimes it's not. If their busy, I feel like they don't cook the pizza all the way vs. they aren't so busy. Either way, foods typically pretty good. They also actually know how to keep the mozzarella sticks from getting soggy, so that's a win ?“
“I'm a young Rockford native trying to find the best pizza in Rockford, and my medium for this experiment is the most unbiased option available: a plain cheese pizza.Overall Opsahl's is a solid choice. I ordered a Medium and was pleasantly surprised, it seemed pretty large for a medium pizza.The crust was a bit tough for my liking, but the crunch and toastiness of it was satisfying. The sauce was standard for a pizza, I feel like if it was a bit sweeter I would have been impressed. Where Opsahl's pizza really shines is the cheese. The cheese was near perfect, it had a bit more cheese than other pizzas I've tried and it was truly delicious. The herbs also really added to the flavor.Overall Opsahl's is a solid pizza and for a good price as well, coming in at only 12$ for a Large. Definitely a place I would come again.“
“Food is far above expectation for Ogle Co. Dining . Service is fabulous. Downfall is that we have never eaten here and not had super wasted obnoxious beer drinking idiots playing pool. Seems like a bad business plan to drive away people spending lots of money on food for a bunch of people that drive customers away. The pool table is inconveniently placed by the front door so you have to walk awkwardly around a crowd of inebriated fools to get to your table. Every time we have come here people just get up and leave due to the rowdy folks blocking the front door and the access to the gaming machines. That being said. The food and the service (truly a rare find in these parts) outweigh the cons for our family.Kid-friendliness: I would not recommend bringing small children here. At all. My kids are big boys and not sheltered. Normal children would not fare well in this environment.“
“They have awesome music here every weekend and a good drink selection. It always has clean beer lines and an updated cold beer system. It also offers tasty pizza and I love the 'Bago Fries. This bar has a comfy game room, a pool table and darts. Plenty of parking. Also you can get copies of The PAPER here, which is always a plus...Parking: Many parking spots all around the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in the back and main floor wheelchair entryway in the front.“
“What a hidden gem. My sister took me there after a very long road trip. She and her hubby took me there for pizza. We got there expecting pizza and got the most amazing fish fry instead. Being from Wisconsin home of the Friday night fish fry this rated among the top. More food then I can eat. The fish fry came with a great salad and of all things a dish of pasta. Wow the pasta was unusual. Perfect! The staff was very friendly treating everyone like a neighbor instead of a customer. The beer cold and the fish fresh out of the fryer none better. When down there for a visit I will be going back.“
“Ever since my go-to Chicago Dog restaurant closed I've been on a search for a place in Rockford that does Chicago Dogs right (not as easy as one may think) and I finally found the spot! They serve up the perfect dog with just the right combo of toppings and crunch.“
“The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome tonight, and the waitress was attentive. We got beer nuggets and a thin crust half cheese, half mushroom pizza. Both were delicious! The sauce was really good and the crust was nice and crispy. The beer nuggets were a pleasant surprise and we’re happy to find a place closer than DeKalb to get them. We will definitely be back!“
“Omg I just had the best meat lovers pizza ever. The bacon was crispy and on top. Plenty of toppings. Ciminos in Pec rocks!!! From calling in the order until the pizza was delivered was joy. And the taste and quality was just amazing. They even brought it way out to my campsite in Seward Bluffs“
