Destination tacos? In Winnetka? Yes - that's now a thing. Fondita Miguel is 45 minutes from us, but is well worth the trip. We had the pastor-marinated (al pastor) pork, chicken tinga, beef birria, and hongos (mushrooms) tacos and got to sample the asada steak - along with the elote (street corn) salad, guacamole, and a variety of salsas (wow!). This was a great place! Nice employees and great food. Probably one of the best tacos I've had and the birria was delicious and at a great price. I would definitely recommend the birria mexican style and the mushroom hongo tacos. The chicken tinga was delicious too! All around a great taco place
