I remember this place was a very pleasant place to visit, 2 years ago. The staff were really nice and clean but I came in today thinking I was going to have the same experience, but no. I was charged my ice cream before I even got to choose it and the 2 guys working felt like they were looking down on me for being brown. I noticed that other people were choosing there ice creams and then paying, but for me it was the opposite.
Absolutely delicious peanut butter ice cream! High quality chocolate chips as well.
Often frequented by a lot of locals so be wary (especially during summer) of lines. Ice cream is solid, though can be a bit pricey. Variety of flavors is neat, especially with seasonal exclusives.
This ice cream is terrible. Tried 2 flavors and it taste disgusting. There is no flavor it’s like eating maple syrup
The best ice cream on this earth. Lot's of memories made here while at NU.
Manager was really rude when we entered just because we were on bikes and wouldn’t let us sit and put our stuff down until we bought food and then kicked us out for asking why we couldn’t put our stuff down first.
Server placed the most liquid ice cream in my cone. Avoid!
We had a great experience here! Matthew served us and helped us - he was fantastic!! He offered us samples, gave us recommendations and even took time to answer all my elderly mothers questions about their history and how the ice cream was made. We will definitely be back!!
Good Ice Cream, big serving.

The ice cream here is fine but the milkshakes are just awful. They use so much milk they end up with just a sugary juice by the time you check out. Just an awful ratio where they won’t want to make another and it’s not worth it. Go somewhere cheaper, not worth it!

Their new Lemon Meringue Pie is my favorite flavor, probably my favorite ice cream ever in my life. I love lemon desserts but my husband who doesn’t also really liked it. It had a perfect balance of tart and sweet.
As for Graeter’s in general, they are one of the few ice cream shops that are truly worth the price. The quality far surpasses other very highly rated and talked about ice cream shops in the northshore and city that I’ve gone to and thought the ice cream’s fine, but tastes like something I could easily get at a grocery store. Graeter’s has just a rich flavor and texture and they don’t skimp out on the extra bits or mix-ins in the flavors.
Also they have a lot of flavors and are elevated, unique, and appealing for adults, not just kids. I love that.
I highly recommend Graeter’s!
