I recently visited this bagel parlor and tried their lox bagel. While it wasn’t bad, it also wasn’t particularly memorable. The bagel was fresh, and the lox had a decent flavor, but the overall experience felt slightly above average. It’s a good option if you’re in the mood for a lox bagel and happen to be nearby, but it’s not the kind of place that will blow you away.
One thing to note is the inconsistency with the cream cheese. My bagel had a very light spread, and I found myself wishing for a little more. On the other hand, my partner’s bagel had way too much cream cheese, which completely overpowered the flavors. Being a small café, it has a cozy vibe, but the quality could be a bit more consistent. It’s a decent stop for a quick bite, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

One of the many local Winnetka eateries. I really enjoyed going here with a friend of mine when I was on vacation there. Very friendly people and delicious food.
Parking: As the location is in the downtown area of the village located off to the end of one of the buildings areas there was parking in front relatively easily and just around the corner as well

Usually I go to the highland park location, but this restaurant was super cute! Really similar to what is in HP, but has a much more open floor concept with large windows. Food is great!

0NCE UPON A BAGEL is decorated with raw bricks and cute signs. The people behind the counter are as nice as can be.
Their bagels are light and fluffy. This is not a New York style bagel, with a crisp crust and a dense interior. But it's good. There is no vegan cream cheese.

What used to be a welcoming environment with the highest quality goods is no more. The prices have increased and the quality decreased. The service is complete chaos. Really unfortunate to see this great place decline.
Great bagels with lots of cream cheese. Yummie, when we are in town, it's a must stop.

Best al pastor tacos I've ever had, best bagels I've ever had, quick and friendly service. HUGE menu selection. Adorable spot worth visiting. I drive an hour to get here on occasion just for old time's sake, because that's how good this place is.

One of the best delis on the North Shore. Bagel and Lox sandwich are one of my favorites.

We go out of our way to get bagels and whitefish salad from this shop. Among the best we have had.

The bagels are good, lots of Hispanic food varieties but I ordered soup - which comes with a bagel - and it was cold. The service is mediocre but the location is good. Worth a bagel, but not much else.
