From the minute I walked in here and saw their charming interior space I sensed that this was going to be the best diner in the Chicagoland area. When I saw the fresh creative menu I knew the food was going to be fantastic and when I tasted the food (which came quickly) my instincts were confirmed! This place is GREAT. Add the sweet friendly service and this place rules!! I’m still here eating but can’t wait to come back!

This is a small locally owned breakfast and lunch place just on Greenbay that you would drive right by. Love this place for meeting buddies for Sunday morning breakfast. Neighborhood, family friendly, place for awesome French toast and eggs

Lovely little place. Good food and service. It is small, though. We were lucky to get a table at 11:30 on a Monday.

Had brunch at the Original Greenbay Cafe in Winnetka a few Sundays back. It is a no nonsense old school diner with a relaxed welcoming vibe. I went with the Mediterranean Omelette. The eggs were spot on and loaded with fresh veggies full of flavor. The home fries were excellent, crisp on the outside and soft inside. The coffee was hot, strong, and kept coming. Service was top notch, fast, friendly, and on point without trying too hard. The place has a lived in charm with plenty of little things to catch your eye while you wait. A solid spot for a real meal without the fluff.

Overall, the food was okay, but the pancakes were inedible. I ordered the banana pancakes. The bananas were in large chunks and there weren’t many of them. That’s tolerable, but what made them impossible to eat was the overwhelming amount of baking soda. All I could taste was the soda, not the pancakes or the bananas.

Ordered the tuna salad sandwich ...lettuce and tomato fresh and added golden raisins to the tuna giving it an extra zing.
Ruffle potatoes chips and a pickle finished the serving.

No chairs or booths with comfort. Get better furniture.
