Never disappoints. The tomato & burrata salad and the vegetarian tower are very good appetizers. We are fans of both chicken entrees : the limone and the mushroom dishes - they are very generous portions and delicious. It's refreshing to go a restaurant that is classy (I feel like I am in downtown Chicago), energetic restaurant yet you can have table conversation without having to fight all the room noise. This is lovely place in the heart of Winnetka.
Honestly one of the best restaurants on the North Shore. We eat out a lot and I can't think of anyone else serving up better Italian food. Or ANY food for that matter. The special focaccia is divine (I've had it at least 4 times and it never disappoints), we had an eggplant appetizer this time that was simple, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. And the pasta main dishes are honestly all worth trying, with the carbonara being my personal favorite. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly, highly recommend! Che buono!!
The lemon chicken had zero color or texture, mushy wet flour non the outside, both chicken and potatoes were white in color, not appetizing. The bronzino, similar: not sauteed in a hot enough pan. Lemon pasta always amazing, wine perfection. Side note, the little lanterns on the table are a better fit for outside. Please bring back the candles.
the food is always fabulous at Tocco- and the ambiance is sophisticated yet comfortable. Highly recommend!
The food and the service is absolutely far superior to any Italian restaurant that we frequent in Chicago. Bruno is truly an outstanding talent. We love Tocco!
My wife and I went to Tocco for lunch, but it felt (and cost) like dinner. The dining room is beautiful. The service was excellent, and our server, Anastasia was wonderful! The food was outstanding, with many uncommon choices. We started with shared an appetizer of bresaola, thinly sliced smoked beef; completely unique. Delicious! My wife had tortellini du zucca: puffy ravioli with butternut squash filling. Excellent! I had pappardelle alla norcina: unbelievably delicious pasta in a cream truffle sauce. The menu is so varied as to bring us back! The portions were so generous as to provide some bring home!
It was an amazing experience! We were celebrating a major milestone in our business and Fabian the grandson of the owner, Bruno took really good care of us as well as our excellent waitor! She recommended great meals to us and did not rush us. Fabian even took out his special 27 year old Grappa for us to clebrate the special occassion!
Our favorite restaurant in the universe! We also love love love love Follia in Lake YesForest!
We are returning customers. Service was great. Food was wonderful. We arrived at 6:45pm on a warm Saturday evening. They seated us inside. Noise level tonight was pleasant allowing us to comfortably have a conversation. Another wonderful Tocco experience.
Great Saturday dinner. Service was excellent. Good great! Pasta homemade. Cheesecake a 10!

Authentic Italian Cooking...one of a kind in the Chicago area. Exceptional dining experience!
Wonderful experience! Sat outside which was terrific. Fabulous food. Gorgeous interior. Special place.
Great place. Good food. Though they truly represent the pretentiousness that many people associate with the North Shore. Which can be viewed as a feature or a bug depending on who you are.

Restaurant patrons are too loud and hard to hear people sitting at your own table. Additionally, the lemon pasta was very disappointing and had no taste.
We had another lovely meal at Tocco. Great variety and quality. Service was excellent and very mindful of our need to depart for theatre. Will continue to return.
