Went to this place to tryout some guatemalan dishes, I spent a lot for ridiculous amount of food, this place is very expensive, never going back again. The food was reheated, nothing fresh and very expensive. I don't suggest this restaurant for anyone out there.

These people are horrible they talk to you a lot to distract you from knowing they charge a lot of more things you aren’t taking. Never got my money refunded nor an apology. They just kept saying the guy that charged me wasn’t there which I think it’s BS. Gave them another chance and again the same thing this time it was an older lady and again no apology or refund. They have also done it to a few more people I know. So make sure you don’t get distracted talking and always check your receipts or ask for one because you’ll never know what they are charging you unless you have a receipt. Horrible service as well.

It has permanently altered my life a great deal However, the Tamal De Chipilin was truly remarkable. I had a lengthy conversation with Juan Carlos, who I believe is the owner or co-owner, and they may be opening a store in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I would never eat someplace else again, so it would be over. Furthermore, their fries are... Words are absent. Even though I'm not a huge fan of fries, these were something else. He showed me what they use to produce them, and I acquired the materials to try to make whatever shoddy comparison I could till they open their Grand Rapids location. I believe he mentioned that the fries are made with house-cut potatoes. Not sure.

My Mother born in Guatemala, said the “the food brings her back home” Just remember, it has a small restaurant and take something from Bakery. Ask for Juan Carlos for recommendations.

Pretty good Mexican food. The girl that took our orders and served us was really nice. I think the price is a little too much. I think for one taco dinner with beans and rice, medium horchata, and three tacos was $30.

My life has been forever changed 🙂‍↕️ In all seriousness though, the Tamal De Chipilin was amazing. Got to talk with Juan Carlos (I think he's owner or co owner?) for a while and they might be opening a shop in Grand Rapids, MI??? It would be over, I would never eating anywhere else. Also, their fries are... There aren't words. I'm not even a big fries person but these were an entirely different thing. He showed me what they make them with and I got the stuff to try to make whatever poor comparison I can put together myself until they open their spot in Grand Rapids. I think he said they cut the potatoes in house for the fries? Idk. If you're in the area, definitely come eat here.

I know very little about Guatemala except that I wanted to surprise a friend who works many hours and rarely has time to enjoy the food from her country. I found Gualtemalteca on Instagram and had to check it out. This little place was like a trip to Guatemala! Jose helped this gringa with everything and let me try samples of soup and atole , explained the pupusa and tamales...unbelievable! While I looked around, he cooked and in no time I was on my way with bags of fresh, hot food. He was so patient, friendly and everything was amazing. Thank you! I'll be back soon!

This store is absolutely disgusting. The food is terrible. It's cold and spoiled. It made my daughter sick. I don't recommend it.
