I had a really great experience with SBR catering our wedding. Everything from the tasting to the actual event went really smoothly and communication was awesome. They easily accommodated some of our special requests and some food allergies, which we were so grateful for. Everyone at the reception commented on how good the food was!

We had: baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, Texas brisket, Kansas City burnt ends, pulled chicken, green beans and mac and cheese. We also had their mini salted caramel and key lime tarts! Everything was a hit!

I recently worked on a small film production and we shot a feature film in the Chicagoland area. Over the course of 5-6 weeks I worked with the team at Sweet Baby Ray's / True Cuisine to feed our crew of 50+ people twice daily. Simply put, Terrific Food & Wonderful Service! Our Cast & Crew really enjoyed the variety of meals ranging from Breakfast Burritos to Taco Tuesday, from BBQ Pull Pork to Pasta Nights, Mediterranean-theme to Chicago Italian Beef, etc. And that Brisket... so delish.
Communication was crucial with our schedule updates / dietary notes; this catering team heard our changes and adjusted as necessary. They truly went the distance (far as Woodstock), delivered to our outdoor sets and arrived early to meet our meal times.

Hands down the best catering!! We used SBR for our recent wedding and the food was incredible day-of and everyone was so incredibly easy to work with and helpful throughout the planning process. We worked with Meghann during our planning process who helped immensely answering all of our questions, and we had Beth onsite day-of and she was just incredible. She kept checking in with all of the bridal party and me and my husband’s families throughout the evening and was on top of all the details. The quality of the food was so good and our guests all loved it. Would absolutely use them again in the future and would recommend to anyone!

The best Brisket and pulled pork! I've gone to other BBQ restaurants and Sweet
Baby Rays is hands down the best, the corn bread is phenomenal, not dry nor crumbly very delicious.

We just had Sweet Baby Ray's cater our wedding at Lincoln Farmstead in Huntley Illinois. We didn't really have a choice at the time to use them as they were the preferred vendor and were assured by the previous owner that they were great. However I ran into issues working with them that I would not recommend them or use them again.
Administratively, there were errors in dish and people counts. Not to mention they tried to bill me before a contract was signed.
1. we served family style - so the number of family style dishes were incorrect from the get go - i caught while doing the final numbers which would have meant 5 tables would not have had serving dishes
2. after providing the final numbers, once plugged in, they were still incorrect and would have over charged us by 10 extra guest meals - caught their error again
3. What I'm MOST UPSET about they didn't set aside 2 of each desserts from the the dessert bar which should have included 2 pieces of our wedding cake. I'm actually in tears because they DID NOT SAVE WEDDING CAKE for us As caterers you would think they would know the importance of saving wedding cake for the couple. The wedding planner did ask if the desserts were saved and they said yes but they were not to be found anywhere.
4. They served a child's meal to my nephew who is becoming a teenager and it upset him. I was very organized with the seating charts and which meal goes with each person and they disregarded his adult meal.
5. they charged us for 40 bottles of bbq sauce which they took and did not leave behind. I don't think anyone used them.
6. People complained how dry the brisket was.
7. A server spilled bbq jackfruit on my friend's purse and did not apologize or try to make right.
8. I'm unsure if they did a good job keeping the dessert bar filled bc there were a ton of desserts leftover. I won't know the execution of it until I see the pictures. I do know that I ordered 10 confetti cookies for kids, and there were 10 confetti cookies left in the refrigerator.

NOTE they did reach out to me to discuss the service and expectations but I do not want to talk to them. I'm too exhausted and emotional about it. The day is done and I have no recourse as they pre-tipped the bill and I want to move on an not dwell on what went wrong. I rather focus on what went beautifully.

If you use them - document everything, quadruple check everything. I told my wedding planner I didn't think they would execute at the level that I expected knowing the administrative issues from the start. And I was correct at the end.

My wife and I chose SBR for catering our wedding and we can say without hesitation that it was no mistake. The hors devours were unique and a big hit, as well as the main course. There is a lot of customization available when deciding on food for your event. We had many guests coming up to us after dinner to say how amazing the food was. Of all the places we sampled for our wedding, SBR was the obvious choice and we highly recommend

I can't recommend Sweet Baby Ray's Catering enough if you want to leave a lasting impression on guests at your wedding! Their staff was incredible. The buffet presentation was beautiful. And the food was absolutely delicious! Meghann was wonderful to work with. She patiently answered my endless questions. Our friends and family still tell us how great our food was. We'd work with SBR again in a heartbeat.

Hiring Sweet baby Ray’s was one of the absolute best decisions we made for our October 2023 wedding. From the beginning of the planning process to the day of the event, Sarah was there to answer any questions and give guidance. The day of the wedding, we could not have been more impressed with the staff. Sue, the event captain kept drinks refilled, brought us warm food, and even bustled my dress. The bartenders and waitstaff were professional, polite, and incredibly helpful to guests. They entire group was so efficient and our guests raved about the quality of the food. I have recommended Sweet Baby Ray’s to everyone I know getting married - they were truly phenomenal to work with.

My Daughter and Son inlaws wedding this past weekend was flawless with the help of Sweet Baby Ray's! From the cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to the late night pizza at the end. Everyone raved about dinner. The pulled pork chicken and brisket was cooked to perfection. We were impressed with the staff and how attentive they were. Many of our guest noticed as well. The following morning when we came in to clean up the venue to our surprise these staff had already had everything separated and lined up on the tables We were in and out of the venue in less than an hour I would highly recommend Sweet baby Ray's to anyone who is having a wedding or large party They were incredibly amazing Thank you

We had them for our daughter's wedding. We did the vegan options and everything was wonderful.The food, the people who working were wonderful, bent over backwards to make our wedding event perfect! The bar personnel was fantastic. Very pleased!!!!

I am so glad we partnered with Sweet Baby Ray's! From the beginning to the day of the wedding they were professional, timely, helpful and kind. I loved working with Meaghann and am so fortunate that she had worked many weddings at our venue, the Cheney Mansion. Day of, Robert, the lead caterer introduced himself to me calmly and with a glass of water in hand while I was a very stressed bride in that moment. I appreciated him looking out for me and my husband throughout the day. Everyone LOVED our food and our vision of the menu. We had BBQ & Mediterranean to blend our heritages and it was a hit! I loved working with this group and would recommend them to anyone!
