We ordered kung pow chicken and chicken lo mein This is what was given. Tasted close to dirty dish water? Not sure but unfortunately we will NOT be returning. The owners are as nice as can be but doesn't make up for terrible food.

I loving refer to Sukey's as my Chinese hood spot. It's a great local restaurant that serves that comfort Chinese food. When we order carry out, we get sweet and sour chicken, beef Lo Mein, crab Rangoon, and egg rolls. The sweet and sour chicken is plentiful and very crispy, with plenty of sauce. The beef Lo Mein noodles are cooked well and taste great, but my favorite part of the meal is the crab Rangoon and their one of a kind egg rolls. Of all the Chinese restaurants I've been to, no one makes egg rolls like Sukey's. When we dine in, we get the dinner for two. You can beat the price for the amount of food. Why did I only give my favorite Chinese restaurant 4 stars? The restaurant is not pretty. The interior is a hodge podge of cheaply done work, but it does have a certain charm. The folks that run the place are the real deal. I am sad to say there is a FOR SALE sign in the window. I've been afraid to ask if it's the building for sale or the business. I hope they don't close. The people working in the restaurant are older and I fear this is the end. It would be shame, they seem like nice people and I would miss their take on classic Chinese dishes including the St. Paul sandwich, which is a St. Louis original.

First be aware the building is old. Clean inside but old. The decor and the lighting is definitely something from long ago. When I first stepped in I almost ran but a very nice lady showed up and I stepped forward. Not surprisingly a slight language barrier in her understanding my questions. I guess I should have talked louder and asked more questions. It was lunch so I thought we’d get lunch servings and prices but having not specified she gave us dinner prices. $36 for two. That’s a lot for what one gets. I ordered beef pepper steak and it tasted ok. The sauce tasted like my gravy when I make beef and gravy. None of the spices I’d expect. Meat was tender and vegetables fresh and crisp. Egg roll smelt as if it had been fried in old oil. Didn’t see much in the way of veggies. Seemed like meat and rice with phyllo dough. Thin layers of dough fried very crisp. My husband had teriyaki chicken no veggies. Good serving. He liked it. He also had wonton soup that he said wasn’t bad. The fried rice was awful. Dried out almost to point of hard. Stale bland flavor. Nothing helped it. Packets of sauce and soy in a bottle that was crusty on top. No soda refills. Fought two persistent flies. I’ve driven by this place for years and hoped I’d find a new favorite for Mondays but it’s not to be. Exceptionally kind lady and sorry to say it’s a one and done

Terrible customer service on the phone. Have to spend over 20.00 for delivery, but they don't sell combination plates. Rice is 1.20 more what a
This is like stepping back into 70's. Sometimes, I am in a retro mood, and this place fits the bill. They don't sell alcohol, but okayed our bringing in a couple of beers. You gotta dine in for the full experience. Where can you order a beef dinner for two with appetizers for under $20? Here!!Kid-friendliness: Saw high chair

The food I had was great. I talked with the lady behind the counter and she helped me pick one of their specialties. The price was pretty reasonable for the amount of food I got. The atmosphere was comfortable and unique. The worker was nice enough to ask me about how much AC I wanted. I had the bulgogi beef.

My General Tso's chicken looked like intestinal stew. Couldn’t even try a bite of it. Did NOT look like chicken whatsoever. Basically threw my money out the window.
