Being new to the area, this was our new favorite spot. We couldn’t wait to take my mom when she came to visit after we had talked about it several times. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible.
We walked over from having dinner on the square and my mom had her to-go box with her. We walked in and sat on the far side of the fireplace excited to try a few new items we had discussed on the walk over. Instead of being welcomed in (or saying anything kind to “break...read full review
Ethereal Confections has been having issues for a very long time now, but this previous time at the location will be my last due to the fact an employee, Taylor, ridiculed my friend for their personal preferences. I understand employees have a right to express themselves, but keep your opinions out of the workplace if they are insulting, demeaning, or down right prejudice to their customers. Extremely overpriced, but not good at all. There's also a weird smell in there that I just couldn't ignore.

Ethereal offers a charming atmosphere and exceptional service, making it ideal for both gatherings and casual visits. Guests have enjoyed the orange blossom latte and a variety of delicious truffles, with PB&J being a standout favorite. The Loft is also a great space for events, like business meetings, providing a first-class experience. This place is super cute, cozy, and has great and friendly service. The coffee is fresh and tasty, and there are tons of food options. Many have enjoyed a breakfast sandwich and a cinnamon roll, finding them as good as they have had anywhere. It is also a perfect fit for events like weddings, with 85 people fitting comfortably. The venue has "great bones" and a great location being close to downtown. Shannon was phenomenal, and Kelsey was great, ensuring events went seamlessly. The Confections and Noshery is an interesting find and part of the McHenry County Coffee & Tea Trail challenge. There is plenty of room to spread out to do work, socialize, or chill. Overall, Ethereal is a delightful place to relax and savor sweet treats.
