Foxes Den Meadery is a hidden gem in our local community. From the moment I stepped in, the cozy ambiance and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We hosted our employee Christmas party, and it was a great experience for our team. Rico was beyond accommodating and truly enjoyed our time there. The meads and beverage selections were tasty and fun to try different varieties. Highly recommend Foxes Den Meadery for your next event!

WOW!Full disclosure: the owner is my neighbor, our kids are friends, and they are wonderful people. That all said: I promise I am being unbiased here. I've had mead before and I didn't care for it. I was skeptical coming in but this place won me over pretty much immediately. For one thing, the ambience is immaculate and everything is spotlessly clean. They are very careful to replace your glass between drinks and they inspect each one diligently before pours. If you're a stickler for hygiene: this is your place. The menu itself is surprisingly diverse. They have a good selection of nonalcoholic beverages, alcoholic drinks from partners, and of course locally brewed meads. I learned that they have two kinds: their stronger more traditional mead and their 'session' meads. I tried the autumnal session (apples, cinnamon, and vanilla) and it was so good I immediately abandoned my plan to try a variety. I ended up having 2 5-oz pours and no regrets. Absolutely delicious with a clean finish and very seasonally appropriate.I did branch out to try the stronger montmorency cherry mead (2 oz pour, 13% ABV) and I'm impressed they managed to get such a rich cherry flavor to come through with that stronger alcohol content. Don't get me wrong, you'll feel the burn- but that beautiful cherry really comes through, making it very drinkable. Unfortunately, that's when I hit my limit. I'd have liked to try the charcuterie plates (the owner, Rico, described them and they sound fabulous), but they weren't available when I arrived--they use a supplier who simply hadn't dropped them off yet, so I guess I'll need to go back to sample more meads + the nibbles. Y'know, for science. I'm not mad about having an excuse to return, not that I'd need one. The drinks are delicious, the service delightful, and the prices very reasonable. This is a great place to meet with friends over a flight, or just have a nice chill evening solo, too. I'm glad to see such a classy and unique place in our downtown Yorkville area! This is the sort of local business I can feel proud to visit.

My wife and I went during Yorktoberfest in Yorkville. We can't say enough good things about it! The selection was fantastic and the mead is delicious. While it doesn't serve meals there is plenty of restaurants close by to get good eats at!

Definitely was not expecting the environment when we arrived, but pleasantly surprised. The building is small, but they have a great seating area and even our outdoor seating area right along the Fox River! The mead was very flavorful (PB&J was our favorite) and cannot believe it is right at our back door! Gray experience and my wife and I cannot wait to return soon!!

Friendly staff offering a great variety of fresh high quality traditional and lightly carbonated meades, in a quaint location steps away from the soon to open Fox Republic Brewing. Separated by a cute coffee cafe and a quick walk across the tracks from Crusade Burger and Rowdy's.
