Past 4 times we’ve ordered from here, been shorted sauces for Gyros, half raw curly fries and chili cheese dogs that have little to no chili and zero cheese. This place was always top notch until this year. DO BETTER!

I have always really liked this place but yesterday i went there for the first time in about a year and it was very disappointing. The rib tips were so tough you couldn’t bite through them. The cornbread was so old that it smelled bad and couldn’t keep its form to even pick up without crumbling into mush. The baked beans were very clearly canned. Come on guys. This place sadly has stopped putting the effort in. And $15 for a rib tip plate… 😞

The food is always hot and fresh! Delicious bbq, gyros, hotdogs, and sandwiches. Very clean inside and great customer service. This place goes above and beyond providing the best food and service.

The servers were pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere was BBQ-meets-sports-bar, which was kinda fun. The food was not the best. The Brisket Sandwhich was fatty and didn't have any bark or seasoning to it. The Rib Tips were also very fatty, had lots of cartilage, and needed more seasoning. But the barbecue sauce on the tips was pretty good! The Mac and Cheese tasted like Velveeta Shells 'n' Cheese, rather than homemade Mac and Cheese. The Corn on the Cob tasted like Canned Corn; it wasn't flavorful at all. The Cornbread and Potato Salas were fine, though nothing to write home about. Lastly, the Mashed Potatoes were the best of the sides, though they were clearly from dehydrated, not freshly mashed, and still needed some seasoning, or better yet, some Gravy!
Overall, we weren't particularly happy with the BBQ options. We might try stopping in again to try something else, like the Burgers or Ice Cream. But, if you're looking for a BBQ place, this isn't it.
However, on a side note, the Barbecue Sauce was good, and I believe I saw they sell it by the bottle. So that's worth checking out, if you're in the area.

My grandma said this was the cleanest restaurant she'd ever been to in the past few years, and she owned Grant St Grocery for 29 years in Streator. The food was great, the service was fast. The food staged hot whole we drove 45 mins to another town and enjoyed lunch with other family members. Next time in the area will be back. Visited Sept 5 2024.
I ordered two flurries tonight there was two cars ahead of me it took them 15 minutes my ice cream was already melted either keep the lines moving or wait to make the ice cream so it's not melted by the time you get there

If I had done this survey before trying a grilled chicken salad they would have gotten five stars. As a southern girl I'm always looking for some good BBQ, and they've got it nailed! I just don't know what happened with the chicken placed on my salad. It was so small and incredibly thin. Their original sauce is so perfect you could put a nipple on the bottle and feed it to me!!
Vegetarian options: There are a few items that do not contain any animal products. If you're not sure ask! The staff is always willing to help ?
Parking: The lot is weirdly set up and can get congested easily

I got the brisket meal with baked beans & Mac & cheese. I wanted to support someone locally so I chose them. This was such a terrible decision the baked beans come in such a small container that’s almost the same size as the container that the bbq sauce came in. You can tell they did nothing extra to it but drown it in bbq sauce. The Mac and cheese taste just like water not even cheese just plain water salt couldn’t even help it. The brisket had no flavor whatsoever they just poured bbq sauce on it. I hate I spent $18 on this because I can’t eat it. The muffin also lacks flavor as well. The brisket was so tough my jaws hurt from trying to chem them.

Shish Ka Bob meal is the best, Greek potatoes and rice are perfectly flavored! Huge portion size too! Thank you, got to have it for two dinners!…and don’t want to forget to mention my normal go to there….their gyros, which are really good too!
