I placed an order over the phone and they got my order wrong. I ordered an Italian meatball, but I received sausage with beef on top. I didn't want to make a big deal so I ate the sandwich anyway, and that was a terrible idea... I got food poisoning 🙃 the vanilla ice cream tasted weird too... really wish we chose somewhere else to go for dinner. I'm also breastfeeding right now, and being dehydrated seriously affected my supply... I'm hoping that this doesn't ruin my breastfeeding journey. I dont know if the food was old or undercooked, but this needs to be taken more seriously. I was really looking forward to trying this place, and its unfortunate that it got me sick. I probably won't come back here ever again. I would not recommend.

I’ve been coming here every Tuesday for the past two years to order root beer floats and have never had an issue until now. This week, I ordered three root beer floats, and when I arrived, they were not made properly.
I sent my daughter inside first to politely ask if they could be remade, and they refused. I then went inside myself and explained the situation calmly. Instead of addressing the issue, the manager looked at me as if I was trying to get something for free, which was frustrating. I simply wanted what I ordered, made correctly.
When I asked again if they could remake them, he refused. I left the floats on the counter and told them to keep the money so there was no misunderstanding that I was trying to get a refund or anything free. I just didn’t want something poorly made.especially at $5 each.
It’s unfortunate because I’ve supported this place consistently for years and have never had this kind of experience. I hope this was just an off day, but customer service and quality matter.

$30 for 1 reg. hotdog plus 2 chili dogs and one order of French fries. To drink- one small strawberry malt. I know the process have gone up everywhere. But really? Hotdogs and a malt weren't worth this price.

The food was good, with exception to my gyro missing tiziki sauce. Chicken sandwich everything on it good, 1/4 lb cheeseburger was good as well. The last thing I want to touch on is customer service, if a customer says thank you when you are handing them their food, it doesn't hurt to say thank you, you're welcome, have a good day/night back.

Been comin' here for several years now along with the Waukegan location. Have always loved the food here and especially the ice cream which is pretty much nearly all of the visits.
Pretty much a Chicago style grill featuring other familiar eats and soft serve ice cream/sundaes that always hit the spot. This is the one ice cream venue that my boys request to go to the most.
Over the years I've had a few of their food items including the gyros, burger, Chicago dog, Polish and obviously fries/chili cheese fries. They do it well here and prices still seem reasonable.
The only thing that seems slightly negative but still friendly and doesn't cripple a 5⭐️ rating is that they can be really slow sometimes despite having what appears to be plenty of staff with a moderate amount of customers present.
Either way, my family & I are usually here 1-2x every month and will continue to support this local wonder. Don't know if this is the same owner of the Wkgn location or the former Keno location but I hope for several years of boomin' business to come.

This place isn’t what it used to be. They never can get my order correct and the last time I went there my grub meat was dry, burnt, and my hot dog had a bad taste.

The last two times my husband and I have been there, it has been terrible. Not sure if there is a manager on site but yesterday there were probably 6 employees at the front. We ordered, waited and heard the bell from the kitchen. At that time there were only 2 other customers in there and they had ordered ice cream. 10 minutes go by and we hear the bell again. None of the 6 employees at the front bothered to check. All standing around goofing off. My husband finally went up and asked if that was our food. They grabbed it and were asking each other about the food. Still goofing off, I walked up and told them it was ours, told them what we ordered and they finally handed it to us. Seems as though they would benefit from having someone around to help delegate things. We wanted to order ice cream after our dinner but decided to go to baskin Robins instead.
