Portions were large on entrees. Menu is very small. Food quality 4/5 value 3/5 taste 3/5 atmosphere 2/5. Not much flavor to hot and sour soup. Spring rolls was oily.I'd say I probably won't eat here again. I like some other Chinese restaurants better.

There are no words to describe this restaurant... been a customer since they opened... have never had a bad meal... no heat lamps... everything is fresh and delicious and great prices..... Madison County is so fortunate to have this exquisite place ..... by the way my new favorite.. sesame chicken

We've been there to dine 3 or 4 times in the past and this time did carry out. The service has always been very good and the staff friendly. So far we've tried the California roll sushi, fried dim sum, crispy green beans, sweet n sour pork, Mongolian beef and kung pao pork and the crab Rangoon. All dishes were of adequate size and we were always full, but they're not the usual over the top bucket of food we've all come to expect. All dishes were very good and we'll order them again. The lone exception is the crab Rangoon but that may just be us because neither one of us is a fan. Lantern House seems a bit more refined than the average Asian restaurant and that matters to me. Give it a try!

A restaurant that has been growing - small staff - however, they work hard to take care of their customers. What a nice change of pace for the city. The Chef has very tasty menu items. We have found it to be a great Lunch and Dinner location. There are not enough of these non-franchise locations! You should visit - you should be pleased!

We had dinner there yesterday. There was only one waitress so she had to seat guest, clear tables and tend the tables. Hard to keep up. I had shrimp lo mein which I’d consider edible. Not good but edible. I ended up eating some of my wife’s sesame chicken. It was OK. When walking to the table, my shoes made noises like sticking to the floor. Kind of not clean. We ordered a pot of hot tea. She said she had to go boil the water and came back with a pot and a tea bag. . I’ve heard so many good things about this restaurant that I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. I would not go back.

Heard about this place and gave it a try. Ordered online, and went in to pick up. Had to wait on it a bit. Main courses were pretty hood, but the chicken fried rice was bland and tasteless ?! A little more flavoring would help! Will try again.... Worth another chance......

Food always really good!!! Service is good too. Could work on decor. We go here frequently. I definitely think this restaurant should be number 1 in Anderson for Chinese.
