Service was great, Peter was timely and answered questions before we asked. Food was just as great, had NY strip and wife had the crusted pork. Sides were mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The desserts all homemade as well. Never had sugar cream cake, but it was delicious with blueberries. We will be back

Love Bonge's Tavern and enjoy their eclectic decor. Service is excellent. Love the menu selections. Love the Perkinsville Tenderloin and the Norwegian Trout. Everything, however, is fresh and delicious.

The menu is limited but if you can find at least couple things that interest you. The food is superb, you pay a price for it, but its well worth it. The main course comes with either tomato soup or salad with blue cheese, both of which are superb. The wait staff here is spot on and take great care of you. And dont miss the sugar cream cake, our group tried both the regular and chocolate and all loved it. A true Hoosier gem.

Addison was dope. Better food than a top steakhouse for half the cost.

Love coming here. Had the lamb chops tonight and they were mouth watering. My husband had the duck and had a religious experience. Our server was Addison and he was lovely. He offered great recommendations, was on top of things, and was super inviting. We’ll be seeking him out as we continue to come back! Thanks, Bonge’s and Addison!

We have been in twice so far in 2024 and will be back for more. Jake and his staff do a wonderful job in providing an excellent dining experience. The service and food are top notch across the board. You won’t be disappointed here, but book your reservations early because the seats will go fast!

We had another wonderful meal at Bonge's last night! My sisters/spouses, Jeff and I took our mom to one of her favorite places to eat and it brought back special memories of when she and dad used to go. Thank you so much Jake ensuring that Bonge's continues to be that hidden jewel of an outstanding restaurant and it was great seeing you last night!

I had the weekend prime rib. It was good, but missed the Perkinsville Pork. I should have stuck with it. The "Bleu cheese" dressing is more of a garlic ranch, which I love! It's very mild and the same as always. I was happy to see the bourbon selection under the new ownership! It was a little overpriced in my opinion, especially for only a 1 ounce pour. The option to have bacon added to the lettuce wedge was a pleasant surprise! I took advantage and it was great! I love Bonge's and it seems the new owner is still doing things right! Thank you!

All the items we ordered were delicious. The crab cakes ordered for appetizers were very good and came with a thick spicy sauce. The tomato soup was really good too. I tried elk loin. It was my first time trying elk and it was perfectly cooked and was very tasty. It came with barley risotto. My wife had the cod and said it was good. The old fashioned was good but I thought it was way overpriced. It was 22$ for that drink.

We are infrequent diners at Bonge's. Probably two to three times annually. We absolutely love the experience. Food, staff, ambiance, ... a real experience that we wish to keep special. It remains so - lived the Norwegian Sea Trout and the Filet/Shrimp entrees. The wedge salad starter with raspberry vinaigrette dressing is wonderful. A real ‘Hoosier' landmark. Thanks for keeping it at the top!

Amazing food and great service as always! Bailey was our server and she was fantastic - attentive, personable and gave great recommendations. The new owner has not missed a beat in keeping the Bonges tradition alive. Though their spirits are limited, Jake made an incredible lemon drop martini on the fly! We look forward to dining there again soon.

This is such a unique Indiana restaurant with history. The service was great and very attentive. Our party of 8 left full and loved everything we ordered!

Experience accurately described on website, small town atmosphere, great staff, seating spacious, lending to conversation while dining, food good with large portions. Building was intriguing to me, researched history of the area, best record has it built 1830s as a dry goods merchantile by a gentleman with last name Beckwith, in 1880 owned and ran by Mr A J Applegate. It has been updated yet continues to exhibit the characteristics of a pioneer building. Staff personalities great! Personalized attention given to every detail, yet we had time to enjoy our evening together. Clean tables, chairs, utensils, serving dishes, and restrooms! We ate later in the evening, will return at an earlier time to experience the tailgating of customers!

This is the first time EVER that my husband has thought food ranked any higher than "good". He looked at me at one point and said,"this is amazing. " then he made me try a bite of his Parmesan Crusted pork chop. (Two more things that never happen). I was happily enjoying my Skrie Cod from Norway in an eggplant puree. Our server Bailey made sure we were able to see the menu, and gave us reviews of a lot of the menu items. Every staff member made sure we were enjoying our first visit. I've rarely felt so welcome anywhere. Thank you for sure a delightful evening!
