I got a salad here and was very violently ill not even an hour afterwards. Spent almost a whole day unable to keep down water or food. The worst food poisoning I've ever had

food has gone down hill from last couple of times coming here. had country fried steak and the meat was some tasteless preformed stuff and was just warm. green beans tasted like they came straight from the can soaked in oil, tasteless and just warm.

Great service...except the host who seated us, was walking in front of me...talking under his mask. I didn't understand a word he said. Why bother?

Nope Never

New menu isn't country at all. it's less country than ever. I'm not trying to drink booze with my family while traveling, which is a hefty Chunk of your customer base. it's like you're serving food that people simply aren't wanting when they think of an old country store.
NY strip Steak and shrimp isn't something fresh from the hills of Appalachia nor is a memosa.

It was busy. 2/15/25
Our waitress Tammy was exceptional. She was very friendly and made us feel right at home
She checked with us several times to see if we needed anything or if there was anything else you could do for us.
The food was delicious my granddaughter had the rainbow trout and I had their new Skillet dish which was wonderful.
We ordered the beignets for dessert and they were so good the dipping sauce is excellent.
Then we shopped out in the store area and my granddaughter loves it because that's where she buys all her salt and pepper shakers. There was a lady that was working there and she was so sweet and helped us a lot. I just wish I had gotten her name so I could mention it.
I always love going to Cracker Barrel but this time was memorable.
