Seasonal facility that is a local custom enjoyed by many, including my friends and family. Service changes and has always been great. The price has gone up, though so has everything else. Just nowhere around can beat their signature Gene’s Root Beer recipe. Yes, it's a secret recipe, and you can now conveniently enjoy this secret back home in the form of a can if you're traveling. It's a must stop for any nearby travelers who love unique experiences.

This place is great ! We always go to a car show further north from there. But we always stop in for some food. I had a hot dog with Cole slaw and horseradish, and my wife had the hot dog with Spanish sauce and cheese, and we split an order of onion rings and an order of fried mushrooms and it cost an arm and a legg. This place is the best ! The food, the service, and the atmosphere all are always top-notch. I can't say enough good things about Gene's

Rootbeer is creamy and sweet. Onion rings alone are worth the trip. Waitress was fabulous. Reasonably priced

Polish w/mustard and kraut, fried mushrooms, & small root beer, all cheap and delicious. They remove the stems from the shrooms and that improves them exponentially.

I've driven by this place a million times while visiting clients outside of Indy, and I got tired of Taco Bell so I finally stopped by today and it was worth it.

Good food, but my most memorable part of the visit was the server Mariah. She has a lovely, calm, welcoming demeanor, and she doesn't know it, but I was on the verge of hot ugly tears ALL DAY until my interaction with her. I'll be back not only for cheap, hot food, but because a good memory was created here by a great employee. Nice nails, girl!

I was humbled when my wife and I took our first taste of this root beer ,it's been 50 years since I've tasted this root beer ,all the memories came flooding back to me when I was a kid with mom and dad in our wood panel station wagon and the waitress was so nice and kind ,we brought back a six pack and got home ,my 14 year old son took a drink and he said ,can you get more !
Can I get some delivered to my home in Michigan?, whoever owns this place needs to know how special and how rare these places are .thank you for making a memory for us!

Great Root beer and Spanish dogs. Lots of memories eating here having grown up in Anderson & coming back to visit. Same taste I remember from many years ago eating here with my Grandpa.

Worst service I have ever had at this place. Got here at 8 pm. Was informed by our server "Jerrica H" that they were closing at 8.30 a d we needed to hurry. She had a terrible ke attitude and managed to screw up a 4 hotdog order.

Very cool little spot with nice service, yummy, simple food :) I recommend the slaw dog - if you're not a horse radish loving person like me, you can get just regular ole cole slaw too!
