Since they reopened 1 year ago, hands down breakfast/brunch in town. Everything I’ve had has been excellent!

I would rate the diner a 4 out of 5, and the only reason I am taking away that 1 point is not the food or menu, but rather the server we had today was very much inexperienced or at least trying to avoid providing us a decent quality experience. While ordering I could tell she was struggling to get my friend and I's order down properly, which we had all the time in the world so we followed her lead when she asked "okay, and for you?" and I gave her my order and had to repeat myself a couple times despite my only "special request" to alter my veggie omelet was to 86 the mushrooms and onions... Drinks took awhile to be brought out (took our food order and yet we were still waiting on our sodas that she took that order 10+ mins prior), had it not been for another woman bringing the pitcher of water to our table in-between drink and food order, we'd of gone 15+ mins without either. Our food came out timely and made correctly, however she didn't bring the toast to accompany my meal, she said it's in right now and will be out shortly, but she brought the cup of jelly, we have no issue with this & ask for refills before she wanders off, and few minutes later, no refills in hand, asks if she can just bring a pitcher of the soda we were drinking. okay fine, no problem, just want a refill however it will be. She brings back the pitcher of soda, we're about 10-15 mins into eating, still no toast, and no clue when it'll be there. When she asks if there's anything else we need/checks on us, I specifically say "I'm still waiting on my toast," and without permission or anything, says "oh I'm sorry I'll take it off your bill." I didn't ask for that, in fact I was looking forward to it, so when she comes back to collect my friends plate, my friend reiterated that we still wanted the toast and asked for a cinnamon roll to go. We get the cinnamon roll and she says "I'm not gonna charge you for that." What part of requesting the toast I ordered was she missing!?!? We had no problem paying for our meals nor the cinnamon roll, as someone with acid reflux who just put ketchup on my hashbrowns and ate a bunch of veggies, I wanted the bread to at least absorb some of it, but alas I couldn't even get my toast at The Toast Cafe 🤦 Will I be back? yes because the food is good, but I will for sure be requesting to not be in her area.

From greeting, seating and table setup, to the various delightful menu choices it is a great experience already. Then finally the delicious food choices and preparation don't disappoint.

I love The Toast!
I eat there a couple times per month, breakfast, brunch or lunch never disappoints! Whether I’m w/ friends or a business meal- I’m always greeted quickly with a smile, clean facility, great food with unique items to chose from and I love the 50’s diner vibe! not to mention this restaurant really helps spruce up our downtown aesthetics & options! I’m a small business owner, so I understand the amount of work and investment A business of this caliber takes! I’d also like to mention that I am a regular at this restaurant, the service professionals know be my name and that makes me feel so good when I walk in the door! As a consumer, Building relationships with small businesses in your community actually create a better experience for you as you’re able to build relationships and connections!

Atmosphere was fine if you are able to ignore the loud and obnoxious wait staff (maybe just one). Also, she didn't like that I picked a different seat than she did in an almost empty restaurant. My order was incorrect on 2 counts. Bacon was thick and chewy. Coffee was good. And the worst was that the owners apparently feel that proselytizing to the clientele is appropriate in a public venue. Not ok. One waitress in particular was so sweet, it almost made it all worthwhile.

Excellent location, fun and friendly staff, great food and atmosphere. It has a small town look and feel. Price to portion size is great. You get more food then you would expect that you paid for. New management is on the ball and knows how to run a family oriented dinner. Menu options are great more items to pick from have to visit multiple times to get them all.

Visiting our hometown we decided we had to try the newly remodeled Toast. It has been a family favorite for 60 years. The remodel is great. Bright, cheerful, and clean. The staff were attentive, helpful, and efficient. The food was average at best. The price for a standard 2 egg, hash brown, and toast breakfast with a beverage sent our bill for 4 with tip to $85. No meat, no specialty menu items just a basic breakfast. If you visit, enjoy the ambiance and the service. Be prepared to pay for a mediocre meal.

Amazing food, nostalgic esthetic and feel, bad wait times. First of all let me say that the esthetic and atmosphere of the place is full dinner Americana. It’s exactly what you would expect from a classic American diner, classy, clean, and bright. The food is delicious and well priced in my opinion. Drinks such as chocolate or orange juice are a little on the expensive side for me but understandable as this is a new establishment. The food is well cooked, warm, and again, absolutely delicious. The server was super attentive and kind, and the customization options were many. Overall would recommend.

Absolutely delicious food and stellar service. Fries were seasoned too perfection, crispy & flavorful. Food was brought out crazy fast. Everyone was friendly & the place was clean including the bathroom. This place was recommended by Uranus Fudge Factory 10 minutes away & we had zero regrets!
