All the staff there are professional, but kind and overall just nice. The weight staff is very professional and very caring. I love their steaks, their sides, their salads or desserts. What's not to love?
Not really the kind of food you would expect from a steakhouse. There are 5 appetizers, 4 are seafood and 1 is mushrooms. Everything seemed greasy. If you go just order a steak and potato everything else is like a Stouffers tv dinner.
It was our 15th anniversary, which I told them on OpenTable. No one at the restaurant, acknowledged it at all. The service was atrocious and that's being nice. We will never be back. Just a heads up to future customers, don't celebrate special occasions here.
Food was not tasting the best and was very messy. Portions for the price are Ridiculous! Service was horrible. Waitress was not friendly at all and never really came to the table, we had to hunt for her all night!
Our previous experience was not the best. Our food was not the best so we kind of hesitated to come back but we had a food celebration to you so we went back. Our waiter was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious so yes, we would recommend and we fully fully enjoyed
To start the menu doesn't match there website menu. Prices have been increased again. Salads were the same price but were literally half the size. We got our bread about half way through the meal. Margaritas were the worst, undrinkable. I got the pan seared salmon over pasta and it was just okay. Herb crusted baked potato was still great. Gulf shrimp and bacon Mac and cheese was not good at all. We were there about 2:30 hours everything is just so slow.
I having been coming to the Homestretch Steakhouse for many years with my wife, friends, groups, etc. The menu changes for 2024 are exceptional. Great food, races are exciting, and some fun in the casino afterwards. Highly recommend for both personal and business functions!
Enjoy the bar area , like the fact they have nightly specials and the appetizers are awesome as I normally make my meal with 2 appetizers. We love the prime rib on Fri-Sat nights !!
Appetizers were applebees quality. So salty, it was not edible. Rolls were old and stale. Ordered an old fashioned that was approximately 45% sugar. Appetisers came 30 min later and then salad immediately, and 2 min later entrees. Ordered a bone in ribeye came without said bone. It was as though people that have never had anything more upscale than olive garden were trying to be fancy. Meal for 5 people was just over $600 with 4 cocktails and 1 bottle of wine. Dang near ruths Chris prices for wedding banquet quality. Did i mention that there was a stage and a loudspeaker blasting a comedian 12 ft away? Hard pass.
If you are looking for a steak that is cooked to perfection this is the place! The garlic mashed potatoes and stuffed mushrooms were nothing to brag about. Our waitress did not return to check on us after the kitchen staff brought our food into she brought our bill. She did have a large party she was waiting on but other wait staff could have helped her. I felt the total experience wasn't worth the price paid.

We had our first dinner here in December.. Had a ribeye and husband had prime rib. It was delicious and we so enjoyed... went back sat Jan 27.. Our waitress was Jill. She was wonderful.. BUT. We were so disappointed. My ribeye was pink inside. But so dry. There was no juice in it whatever. Very dry and very tough.. My husbands prime rib was also very tough. The baked potato was cold. Would not melt the butter... The waitress Jill was so nice. We didn't want to complain.. but ... we will never come back there!! We paid $145. Plus tip for the wonderful waitress.
Our appetizers were delish, the lobster bisque soup yummy and our filets were so tender, tasty and grilled just right! We had a wonderful and very attentive server, Lindsay, who made sure that everything was just perfect!
The lobster bisque and french onion soups were scrumptious. The bread was very flavorful, tasted fresh. We were very impressed with the quality of the filet mignon and salmon with pesto bow tie pasta was so delicious. The sides of potatoes augratin, mushrooms, and asparagus were delirious as well. The seating was comfortable. The waitress was friendly and polite, very attentive to providing great service.
Our server did a great job of getting to us almost immediately. She was very helpful and I would love to have her again when we return. I had the rib-eye which was perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese was very good along with my salad. Seats are track side and almost all windows. Bar was good, but for some reason Harrah's has a very limited choice on spirits. We will go again and again. Very relaxed and enjoyable.
Food was delicious. Steak cooked perfectly. Mac-n-cheese was a new favorite. The only thing i didn't particularly like was the blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad. It tasted store bought and not housemade. But other than that it was a great dining experience.
