Cranberry Cottage Tea Room Reviews
Our server was great but one person cannot handle the large crowds. Under staffing is the problem and I suspect the kitchen was under staffed as well. Too bad. The new location is lovely and I want to love this place but the lack of prompt seating, long wait for food needs to be addressed.
I went with a friend in April. Since it was just the two of us we were able to get a table without a reservation. Great tea selection. We tried the queen Karen’s afternoon tea. I needed to tell the waitress that I’m vegetarian so not all the sandwiches were all
Meat sandwiches. I also took a look at the regular menu. I’m a little disappointed with the vegetarian selection which is only a grilled cheese sandwich. It when I told my waitress that I’m vegetarian they do...read full review
I always have the best experience at Cranberry Cottage! Today I took a friend from Chicago and she was impressed with the atmosphere and wonderful lunch! Thank you for being so consistent and great!

Cranberry Cottage Tea Room is a charming and elegant place that offers a traditional high tea experience, making it a favorite for many visitors. The atmosphere is very adult and tea-party like, with lovely decorations and a cozy setting. The tea selection is praised as great, with some reviewers calling it the best they have ever had and highlighting the availability of cute lumps of sugar. The food, especially the sandwiches and scones, is often described as delicious and well-made, with unique and impressive presentation. The Queen tea for two to three people includes six different mini sandwiches and six mini desserts, although some find the portion size for the price to be lacking, and extra charges may apply for additional jam or toppings.
While the experience is generally positive, some reviews mention that the location is not kid-friendly—advising against bringing children younger than 10-12—and that the seating can be cramped with uncomfortable chairs. The place tends to be more suited for those who want to relax and enjoy a leisurely high tea rather than a quick lunch. The staff is noted as friendly and accommodating, although reservations are recommended during busy times to ensure a table.
Additional features include a shopping area attached to the church building, offering trinkets and antiques, some of which are quite old. The music played is Christian, which some find inappropriate for the setting, preferring classical piano or violin background music. Overall, Cranberry Cottage Tea Room is appreciated for its beautiful ambiance, friendly staff, and quality food, making it a top choice for special occasions and those seeking a refined tea experience.
