Husband and I stopped in for a bite, This food reminded me of down south. The collard greens for this area are the best hands down. Staff/owners amazing and polite. Such a hidden gem. I can’t wait to come back. And I will be recommending to anyone and everyone who will listen! Can’t wait to go back!

What a hometown gem! Today is my birthday and I wanted to stay local for lunch instead of crossing the river. We had not been to Hankerings before because of the convenience of fast food and the inconvenience of street parking during the lunch rush. However, at 2pm, it was very accessible.
Haley greeted us warmly, seated us immediately and explained everything about the restaurant.
All menu items are made from scratch in house: we chose the chicken corn chowder...

What a pleasant surprise. We came on a whim and now wonder what took us so long. The ribs, pulled pork sandwich, sides, and bread pudding were top notch. Highly recommended and we will be back. Oh ..and Haley snorts when she laughs.
