Only went for lunch. Had a BLT. it was very good. It's a grey hair place, so this a real review but more of an overview of a place that everyone there knows multiple people there. I don't think anything would floor me but ivv be also think nothing will disappoint either. Nice bar but little to no bar vibes. I'd go again knowing I'll get a decent experience.

Called in an order for two fish dinners. No Cole slaw and the French fries were limp and nasty. Cost almost $50! Never going back.
Love this place and our family coming there. However, this last visit was not to normal expectations. The ribeye steak for $30 was just terrible and german fries really soft. The expectation to pay that and have such a gross tasting item. ?

Absolutely love St. James! Historic location, wonderful staff, the BEST broasted chicken anywhere, delicious prime rib, fantastic fried fish, awesome American fries, I could keep going! Tonight, I got the black angus sirloin special (10oz with a salad/soup and a side for only $18) and it was tender and perfectly cooked. But I've never had a disappointing meal here. Whether a simple lunch or a nice dinner, St. James is the spot. My mom is from Avilla, so we often make the short drive from Fort Wayne for many reasons; we always plan time for a bite to eat here. Definitely a must-stop!
Last night we had supper at St James. We both had the broasted chicken...it was the best tasting broasted chicken I have ever had ? it was $13 for 2 breast,1 wing, 1 side, Cole slaw and garlic toast. The service, the food and drinks were top notch? it's definitely been a long time since I could give a 5 star review.

Terrible! Called on Friday to inquire about reservations for Saturday as it is my wife's birthday. Was directed to the manager who was very vague about the reservations. To me, it's a yes or a no. Showed up at 5pm and checked in for a party of 2. Forty five minutes later after seeing several parties of 2 seated ahead of us, (no reservations)we gave up, after driving almost an hour to get there! I will stop here as this place has wasted enough of my time!
