Love this place and our family coming there. However, this last visit was not to normal expectations. The ribeye steak for $30 was just terrible and german fries really soft. The expectation to pay that and have such a gross tasting item. ?
Absolutely love St. James! Historic location, wonderful staff, the BEST broasted chicken anywhere, delicious prime rib, fantastic fried fish, awesome American fries, I could keep going! Tonight, I got the black angus sirloin special (10oz with a salad/soup and a side for only $18) and it was tender and perfectly cooked. But I've never had a disappointing meal here. Only went for lunch. Had a BLT. it was very good. It's a grey hair place, so this a real review but more of an overview of a place that everyone there knows multiple people there. I don't think anything would floor me but ivv be also think nothing will disappoint either. Nice bar but little to no bar vibes. I'd go again knowing I'll get a decent experience.
