Yamato Japanese Steakhouse of Bedford

This place usually doesn't disappoint. I can only remember one time that the food was a little cold because they forgot we ordered😅. But yeah the service is good and so is the food. I recommend getting yum yum sauce on your salad and onion over miso soup.

Horrible service, workers are rude and don’t help, and the food was just terrible i’m extremely disappointed i used to love this place i don’t know what’s happened…

Unbelievable service. Tina and Claire were extremely attentive. Sushi was a 10/10, and the hibachi was awe-inspiring as well. If you ever have the pleasure of driving through the great, historic city of Bedford, Indiana, Yamato is a MUST-TRY. These owners know what they are doing. Beckett OUT!

Wenthere to Yamamoto restaurant with my wife to order Japanese food, however there were no one in that restaurant that spoke Japanese, the waiters and the waitresses looked like Mexicans, they did not understand my Japanese language at all. After much confusion with the non-Japanese language menu we ordered. The food tasted okay, not as good as authentic Japanese food though. The other pet peeve is that it took me three times to get them to bring me hashi to eat with, those are u chopsticks.

Absolutely fantastic. Service was fast and our server was extremely attentive. The food was excellent. Highly recommend if you’re in the area looking for an alternative to typical bar food.

I'm from out of town and the last time I came I dined in and enjoyed the experience. This time I requested take out from here since I didn't want to expose others to my cold/flu symptoms. Long story short, had to wait over 30 minutes past the time we were told it would be ready for pick up and it wasn't even during a busy weekend.
You can take that as if it were too long to wait or the food is that good, worth waiting for. You decide.

Solid quality food. I was a little curious about how it would be compared to in a larger city but they definitely are worth checking out. It seems like a popular spot because they do a good amount of business. Definitely one of the better food options in town.

Steak and chicken combo, got the steak and shrimp. Rice was kinda dry, steak was chewy, shrimp was good though, service was service, Sophie I think her name was. Had to ask for it. For the area, it's great, but be careful of the bill. They charge a cc fee. And it's added into the bill. I PAID CASH. Still got charged. Oh well. Lesson learned.
