Love this place. Own brewed beer, whiskey and vodka! Great selection of drinks and plenty of tasty food as well. Had some fried brussel sprouts instead of fries which were great if you don't mind the flavor. Forgot to leave the tip after getting some change so popped it through the door for Emily a couple of days laterðŸ¤

I usually love this place. We order online through grub hub and tried to take advantage of one of their deals. Wings pizza and bread sticks. We also ordered a pretzel and beer cheese. In the end the restaurant had run completely out of dough. So no pizza and no breadsticks. No communication from the restaurant or grub hub on the inability to provide these items so when our order arrived we were very disappointed. Not only was over half the order missing but their quality has simply gone down. The wings tasted old. (I know the y smoke and store them, then reheat for service) but these were so dry that they must have been smoked several days ago. Not to mention how a restaurant in prime location in a college town can run out on a primary ingredient on the friday before the super bowl. The pretzel was supposed to be our saving grace but half of it was so hard it was inedible. So to restate our order was half missing and the other half was poorly executed and delivered. GET IT TOGETHER BIG WOODS. monitor your online ordering and learn to pay attention to local activities and order product accordingly.

Genuinely one of the worst meals I've had in Bloomington. Got the fish tacos. I like raw onion but the massive chunks of raw onion on these tacos were too much. Didn't finish my meal.
Edit: I guess the owner responded. Again, I have no issues with onions. I eat raw onions all the time. I wish I had a picture of my meal to show how large they were. I've eaten at big woods many times before. Very disappointed with both the food and the owners response. I will not be returning.

Food is great but had a very bad experience today. As I get the check the waiter was glaring at the screen and my face when the tipping and signature popped up. I don’t think it’s appropriate for a waiter to put me in that scenario. I’m all for tips but feeling like I have to tip a certain amount makes me wanna never come back.

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at Big Woods. The food and drinks were delicious and the environment was busy as expected. We had their pizza and brussel sprouts which were both excellent. Their drinks were made to order and fairly priced for the area.
Parking is paid street parking like most places in the area.
There was a wait, but for a Friday night, it was expected and we ended up sitting at the bar.
Not sure if they are kid-friendly, but it was a typical restaurant-bar environment.

On Christmas Eve we ordered the Primal (all meat) pizza and added additional items at 0.99 cents. We drove over 30 minutes to pick up pizza and once we got home we realized that they did not put any meat on the pizza. So basically we paid $24 for a pizza with onions, mushrooms, and olives. We could not contact them as the restaurant closed at 4. I contacted them by e-mail and have not heard anything from them. Our Christmas eve dinner which should of been a nice dinner for us was very disappointing, especially since we were expecting pepperoni, sausage, ham and bacon on the pizza. Only good thing about the dinner was the bread sticks. Very disappointed with Big Woods, Bloomington location. The pizza from the Nashville location has always been great.
