We visited today and it was amazing. By far the best gluten free bread and biscuits we’ve had. It was amazing to be able to go in and get anything off the menu without having to ask if it’s gluten free. Can’t wait to go back!

Brightside is beyond amazing, the staff are friendly and do not mind answering questions about the food. I'm gluten free and to find gluten free food that doesn't taste dry and like cardboard is difficult, but at Brightside the food is moist and delicious I can't even tell it gluten free. The brownies are my top favorite so far, can't wait to try everything.

We tried out Brightside Cafe for the first time today, and the whole family enjoyed their breakfast! We’re a family of 7 so we really bring the chaos wherever we go, but the staff were all so friendly and extremely helpful! One of our kiddos is often hard to please and she absolutely devoured her biscuits and gravy! We tried out the cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, cookies, donuts (I didn’t realize they had these, but definitely 2 thumbs up especially on the maple iced), and a carmel latte for mom; everything was great!

The owner is very very kind. The staff are nice very quiet most times but very kind. The shaken expresso is better than Starbucks. The biscuits and gravy are pretty good. The brownies are good. Fresh fruit is great. I did not like the chicken salad in my opinion and I mean this very nicely ?? the bread was doughy like and the chicken salad first bite was good after that it started to have like a metallic like taste. I did not care for it..others might. Someone else I know got the turkey sandwhich they said the bread was doughy like undercooked texture as well but that the quiche is amazing!

It's very very clean. Nice quiet atmosphere to dine in or carry out. Relax or just hang out. Not too crowded. Open dining.

I recommend it. Just don't try one thing and make an opinion. Try multiple things before deciding you don't like it.

They do a great job for being gluten free etc!

Keep up the good work!

Wow!!! Just wow!! First off the food here is amazing and as anyone with an allergy or celiacs disease knows. It's so difficult to nail simple things like biscuits and gravy, but the first bite of the aforementioned food. It took me back to my grandparents house in the country. It warmed my soul and my heart like true biscuits and gravy should, my mouth is even watering as I type this while still full!! The other items that I enjoyed are just as delicious and truly crafted with care and love. The staff were all so so pleasant and beyond kind! I'm from Alabama and mentioned that there isn't anything like this down South. When I left I, did not leave empty handed. I had a loaf of bread, t shirt, and a to go container of the biscuits and gravy. It truly felt like visiting my grandparents, you never left empty handed and you always left more full of love. Truly one of the most enjoyable dining experiences since being diagnosed with my allergy in 2013. I cannot recommend this place more! The bbq chicken sandwhich was also delicious! The bread of each sandwhich was carefully toasted but also had a thickness in consistency that I've never before seen or enjoyed in gluten free bread. As I continued along in the sandwhich, the bread never got soggy as is common with bbq sandwhiches!! Truly, the food on each plate is a marvel in the craft of cooking. I will be visiting Bloomington for years to come and will be found at the tables dining for breakfast every day of each visit. Thank you to the wonderful staff up front and in the kitchen. The atmosphere is filled with peace and love, it's just as carefully crafted as each meal. This dining experience is beyond anything else I've come to experience or expect from a gluten free meal. I would give this wonderful restaurant 10 stars out of 5 if I could! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience! I encourage all to experience the feats of wonder the food here possess!

Dietary restrictions: The shop is very transparent and willing to help with seemingly most dietary restrictions! Of course the main focus being those who are looking for gluten free options. In which case, every single item on the menu is edible to you. 10/5 stars. You can taste the love and care in each bite.

My favorite coffee shop in Bloomington that is so much more than just a coffee shop. Brightside's coffee is excellent, but their food is something very special. Everything they serve is 100% gluten free, and much of their menu is also vegan, but you would never suspect it, as the food tastes amazing, and also has perfect texture. I've been coming here just about every week since they opened and I never get tired of their offerings. In addition to their outstanding products, Brightside's staff is incredibly caring and diligent. They remember every single person that steps through their doors, and they've even gifted me freebies on multiple occasions. Last but not least, I love the peaceful and inviting atmosphere of the shop. It is situated in a very quiet and cozy corner of the Fountain Square Mall.

My understanding from the gentleman I talked to, this cafe is 100 percent GF and the food we purchased was tasty. There is indoor seating just outside the cafe. Finding the place was a minor challenge (we’re not from the area) but they have an humorous sign telling you exactly where to go. Emphatically recommend you visit.

Let me start with how INCREDIBLE it is to find a place that is entirely gluten free as someone has celiac. Not having to worry about cross contamination is such a relief. The food (I got the breakfast sandwich) is phenomenal. The store is ADORABLE. And the staff are so kind. Shout out to Abe for being welcoming and so kind. I will definitely be back to try more and this is officially my new favorite place in Bloomington.

It’s a great place for folks to get gluten free food and FANTASTIC coffee. The biscuits are amazing. Even if you are not gluten free, you should go and grab a coffee and biscuit sandwich. The staff is super friendly. The location is nice- downtown. The atmosphere is good- it’s in Fountain Square Mall- Brightside does a good job with their space. Snag a parking spot on Walnut as soon as you see the pink building- they are just inside that entrance.
