This was sadly some of the worst food we have had in btown… the sub had barely anything on it, was pretty much all bread. We also got the spaghetti and it tasted like nothing. 1/10 : (

Great option for gluten free goers as they offer incredible variety across pasta, pizza, and subs. The pizza in particular shined as a gluten free option. Great experience and fun place to hang out!

I went in recently for takeout and ordered a chicken caesar salad with the hopes that it would be a great meal. I had heard great things about Bucceto's and had hoped that it would be a great meal. However, the size of the salad for takeout (and quality) did not meet expectations. Although I had original thoughts to leave a lower review, I hope that it was just a one off thing. I hope to try it again soon.

Overall, I find your pasta more enjoyable than Da Vinci’s. The rosemary cream chicken is quite flavorful; however, at times the chef seems to add far too much garlic, which is a bit overwhelming for me. I hope this can be adjusted in the future.

The most puzzling dish was the Santa Cruz(the second picture. It is supposed to have a savory and salty profile, but the last time it was delivered, it had a very strange, syrup-like sweetness. I honestly couldn’t understand why. Could this possibly be due to the use of a white wine with a higher level of sweetness? 😢

Unfortunately, because of this sweetness, the dish became increasingly unpleasant to eat, and I ended up throwing away part of the pasta. I hope the restaurant can offer some explanation after seeing this feedback.

Always like going here. Sometimes the service and food is a little off, but all around a great place to go.

Great simple Italian-American food. It has the vibe of a local restaurant even though it's part of a chain. Stepping inside is like going back to the 90s or early 00s with the funky art and style of furniture. I've done takeout a few times and dined in once. I made the mistake of ordering takeout once on a game night when they were slammed and a little behind, but the staff was very friendly even though it was a little chaotic in there. Under regular conditions, my order was ready on time, and the service was great when we dined in.
The menu has lots of choice under the banners of pasta, pizza and calzones, chicken dinners, sandwiches, and dessert. They also have a pretty decent selection of beer (draft and bottles) and wine. Almost all of the menu can be made without gluten (but gluten is used in their kitchen so they don't guarantee 100% gluten-free), and there's also some pretty good vegan options. It's mostly classic stuff, but there are some slightly adventurous pizzas.
I really enjoyed all of the food that I've tried. Their pizza is American-style thin crust which usually isn't my preference, but there's a freshness and subtle sweetness to the dough that I like. The Bama Jam pizza was really good with the sweet-savoury onion jam combined with the distinct taste of the gorgonzola and rosemary, although it was so heavy on the sweet that I kind of felt like I'd eaten both dinner and dessert. I think the Queen of Hearts calzone was my favourite out of everything - the crust was great, the artichokes and olives in the filling were abundant as was the cheese. The spinach ravioli came in a tomato sauce that, while not heavily seasoned, tasted juicy and fresh.
Dessert is not to be skipped. I've tried most of the options. - the chocolate and carrot cakes are my most recommended, but nothing has let me down. The carrot cake had lots of nuts and carrot pieces inside and a tangy cream cheese frosting. The cheesecake is very rich and creamy. The optional strawberry sauce was delicious - it was so bright red that at first I thought it was just a flavoured syrup, but it tasted like real fresh strawberry puree. Honestly I liked the sauce more than the cheesecake. All desserts are big enough to share.

We visited this location on a Thursday evening around 7pm. While we had previously visited the west side location, this was our first experience at the east side location. We were not disappointed! We were seated immediately and quickly approached by our server, Brianna H. Brianna was very attentive to our needs and easily answered our questions. Our food was delivered to us in short order, and everything was delicious! We will definitely be returning.

Reserve my food being paid for or my girlfriend getting a particularly strong hankering for a burger (i.e. purely under the influence of my own volition) I have pretty much always and ever opted to order carry-out at buccetos for any sort of non-home meal. Simply put it is hard to beat 25$ for a delicious large pizza which can be stretched into two or three separate meals. Otherwise, recently had my order re-made for a mistake which (though done unwittingly) was entirely my fault. So, figure I would finally pitch in a five star.

I'm just going to say it. The music in this restaurant is way TOO LOUD. Please turn down the music. That's my only complaint about this restaurant.

Bucceto's caterered for my wedding, in Heltonville Indiana. They were the only Italian restaurant that would travel. Not only did they travel the communication alone was what sold my now husband and I to go with them. I have been in contact with the. owner, Paul, throughout the whole process. The day of the wedding they were officiant in the arrival time and set everything up for us. The food was excellent and originally we were going to drop of the heating mechanisms, but the manager ended up coming back and picked everything up so we didn't have to worry about dropping it back off. They were also affordable and went above and beyond for our special day. Will be using them again for any special occasions and will recommend them to everyone.

Ive been eating at bucchetos since it was in columbus. Whenever i make a trip to bloomington i ALWAYS make a trip here to eat. Service is always great. And food is always great, until this past time. I ordered tomato bread and ate half there and took the other half home. After eating the leftovers at home (the same day) i realized the dough was not cooked all the way through. Ended up with very violent food poisoning overnight. Probably wont be coming back.
