Staff was very helpful and got us the supplies we needed. When we told them it was our first time making wine, they gave us many tips and talked about the process a bit.
I was blown away by the hospitality and amazing wines I experienced from this lovely vineyard. I would never have expected to find such well made & impressive wines in Indiana. I cannot say enough good things about Butler Winery. It is definitely a MUST VISIT if you are in or driving through Bloomington! Do not miss visiting this gem.
Keep in mind that this is a family owned winery. This is not some large scale, corporate owned vineyard. The family are always on-site and available for questions, suggestions, etc
Butler’s 2022 Norton is a MUST TRY!!!! One of the most impressive wines I have had in 2024!
It is a great place to sit down and drink a bottle of wine in a beautiful setting. With music on Sunday afternoons all summer, it's the place to spend the afternoon.
Great hosts and wine and outdoor seating.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. If you are considering going to Oliver, make certain you go to this place as high priority!!!The tour is astounding and led by the founder Jim Butler. His knowledge of wine making and the viticultural region of Southern Indiana is un-paralleled. He happily answered all of our ignorant questions to give us the deep insight of the industry/process.PLUS THE WINE IS DELICIOUS. GO TO THIS WINERY AND GET THE TOUR.
Great place for relaxation.
I'm from Tyler Texas here in Bloomington visiting my sister. We (plus 5 more of her friends) went to the winery. We sat outside could bring our own snacks, but bought our wine there. I was a wonderful atmosphere and the owners came out and visited with us. The winery now serves awesome snack food and even has a live band on Sundays. I highly recommend this place.
