First time here for carryout.I got the loaded baked potato with pulled pork, bacon, onios, tomatoes and cheese. Side of collard greens, and the 1 pound Bacon Lettuce and tomatoe sandwich.Everything was outstanding. Talked to Jeff while waiting for my food which only took 10 minutes or so. Can't wait to go back!!!Thanks Jeff.

BEST BBQ in Bloomington! Deserves 5 stars due to the quality, taste, portions, and price. I have definitely come for dinner to discover they are closed for a private event/maintenance/etc. Small businesses got to make ends meet, so I get it but maybe call before you head over dine-in. Just a heads up!

I got the beef brisket sandwich and fries. Hubs got the pulled pork sandwich with slaw and beans. Great food. Service was wonderful. Small place and nobody was there. Overall great experience

Ken Carson knocks it out of the park in regards to service and quality. You will not find better chicken ANYWHERE. My guests, who visited from all over the country, (family reunion of 65 people,) have never had better open pit cooked chicken in their lives. The macaroni and cheese was also the best catered of this dish any of them had encountered. Ken will go above and beyond to make sure your event goes smoothly, and his family business praises itself and the quality of food he puts in your table. This is not just a business to him, this is his livelihood, and the pride is in his product. If you have the opportunity to use his services, you will not be disappointed.

The food is great, but please change your store hours on google, this is probably the third time I’ve either came here by myself or with group, essentially made plans to eat at your establishment and it’s been out of your time parameters on the paper, but not on google. I make my plans around set times, if your store has different hours for 6+ months it’s time to change the time on your google listing.

Drove 40 minutes to try Carson's BBQ and when we arrived at 1:55 pm, there was a handwritten note on the door that says "We will open later this afternoon due to a catering event". There was another printed sign that said "Due to staffing issues, our new hours are..." I talked to some people that had been there before, and they said they always seem to have a sign on the door about being closed for maintenance issues or staffing issues or catering events, etc. Those people also said I wasn't missing much. So that was our first and last trip to Carson's, and from the other reviews, I'm glad it turned out that way. Shame.

Amazing food. Absolutely delicious. Y’all need to lighten up on the lady behind the counter. I thought she was fn great and funny.Anyways. I’ll be coming here again, hands down.

This rating is for the service and atmosphere only. Was looking forward to trying the food, but didn't even make it that far due to the smart mouth and comments from the woman at the front within 30 seconds after walking in the door. Her name is Pam, and it sounds like I am not the only one to have been on the receiving end of her rude, condescending remarks. Due to her multiple cutting responses, we walked right back out the door.For additional reference, we went there right around 5pm and there was no one in the store, and absolutely no justification for how poorly she treated 2 people who had been nothing but polite to her. Very much hoping that the owner reads these comments and realizes that there needs to be adjustments if they want customers to feel welcomed and interested in buying food. Until that happens, heed the rest of the reviews and stay away from this place.

My boyfriend and I were excited to try Carson's seeing as how we are from NC and BBQ is something we know well. Unfortunately, even though the place was completely empty to the point we weren't sure they were even open when walking in, we were immediately made to feel unwanted and a nuisance. My boyfriend tells her we have never been here before and the response was a dull "oh". Then he proceeds to ask the difference in size for a lunch of 1/4 or 1/2 of pulled pork approximately, which she laughs at and shakes her head saying "i don't know i just weigh it".... Ideally we were just looking for some feedback, recommendations, and maybe a hand gesture to show an approximation. We left because we were excited to try something new and the energy we received killed our excitement. Maybe we will try again on a day when other staff is working.

I bought the giant club sandwich for my husband it's Boris ham with bacon on a bun not what you would call a giant club sandwich I don't understand why do people in Bloomington cook at all
