The hot sause was amazing, that started the meal great. The chicken enchiladas had great flavor especially the cheese sause!! First time here in Bloomington, In; from Texas and would recommend this place to anyone!!

The food isn't very good. I don't think the kitchen cares much about what they're sending out. The waiter tried to steal the change from my bill, so there's that. They sat me at a dirty table. It was just kind of awful. The place is beautifully decorated though. My advice is that you walk in, take a look around, enjoy the scenery, and leave.

I don't know what happened El ranchero. It used to be one of my favorite places. I went in tonight got a beef taco salad. The whole bottom of my plate was full of grease. The tortilla bowl was so grease soaked that I couldn't eat it. My son ordered all you can eat enchiladas. He was served two, for 12.99 he only got two because we didn't see our waiter for 40 minutes after we ordered.

They were busy, but the service was quick. The food was really good. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean. The staff was friendly and they responded quickly to our requests. The food came quickly and was hot and tasty. I would definitely go there again; it is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food was good, service is a bit inconsistent. This time when I went we only saw the server twice and I had to ask a few times to get a refill on my soft drink.

Ordered takeout from this restaurant, and when I ate it at home it tasted strongly of Fabuloso cleaner / ammonia. When I've eaten at the restaurant in the past, it always had a very strong odor of Fabuloso. On one hand, you know that they keep the restaurant clean. But on the other hand, the smell can be overwhelming. Hopefully someone sees this feedback, and moving forward will switch to a less strongly-scented cleaning product.

Everything is always good here, but I will say these tacos had no flavor whatsoever so ever. It looked good, but just bland. Service was great though.

I just got takeout for the first time here and I am extremely happy! Portion sizes are huge, and the beef fajitas are actually spicy! I will be getting a lot of takeout in the near future. Delicious. It looks really cute inside the restaurant.

This is the fourth time I have been to this El Ranchero and the service keeps getting worse. There are no greetings given when you arrive, there are no THANK YOU upon leaving. Tonite we were a group of 6 and were charged 20% gratuity, which the policy does state there will be an automatic gratuity of 18%. Just bad business! I have been to El Ranchero's in Indianapolis and have never had bad service or an issue with the simple greetings, let alone be cheated out of a couple dollars.

We came with a party of 10 and were not an easy bunch for a few reasons. Our server couldn't have been nicer and more patient. Our family had a great visit with great food. I wish I knew her name but we were here Friday 12/1 at 6:30. Thank you!

My husband and I have probably been here about 50 times through the years. We've been here with large family parties after soccer tournaments. We've been here for a quick lunch with the kids. We come in and have adult time at the bar and love the fabulous bartenders and Wait staff. On the Southside we prefer to eat here and drink craft beer at the Sinkhole. They're getting some nicer mezcals & smoky tequila I appreciate. I like the skinny margaritas with tajin on the rim. The bar staff is really excellent. My go to item is the hearty refreshing chicken tortilla soup. My kids like the quesadillas and fried ice cream. My husband has eaten one of everything. I also enjoy practicing my Spanish. Lots of parking; very busy so plan ahead.
