Best Thai food I've ever had. Sad to see it go. A Bloomington staple.

One of our first times at a Thai restaurant and we truly enjoyed it! I ordered Pad Thai with chicken, my son's girlfriend ordered some type of fried rice, and my son ordered a meal with chicken, vegetables, and rice (maybe LS3?). We also ordered spring rolls as an appetizer and the dipping sauce was amazing!! All were delicious and plentiful.
I ordered chicken Pad Thai and the chicken was dark meat and full of gristle and gross bits. The flavor was also not very good.
Excellent food, under staff so had to wait long but was worth the wait.
Very disappointing. The server didn't know the menu and was unable to describe the dishes. On the menu, the dish I ordered was described as having chicken or fish, and I ordered chicken. My dish was served with both chicken and fish, and the manager suggested that I just push the fish off to the side. I ordered medium heat, and it was quite spicy. I won't be back.
The best Thai food in town! Much better than those on 4th st. Try their curry, excellent food !
For the past 7 years, Esan Thai has been one of my favorite restaurants in Bloomington. The portions are plentiful, the food is delicious, and the staff has always been great even though it can get packed and busy at times. Also, if you enjoy Pad Thai as much as I do, then this restaurant is a must. Don't miss out, this place is the real deal.
Best restaurant for thai in Bloomington. It's a bit more expensive than others, but quality and quantity of the food is always very high. I have never been disappointed eating here. Get the #50 curry, it's amazing!

If you don't know what to try, Pad Thai is very popular. I always recommend yellow curry (42/L17) to new customers.
