We had a larger group including family from out of town, and they accommodated us easily!! The food and service were both great!!

Came from out of town. Checked Google and it reads they are open at 3p on Tuesdays. Nope - they closed. Please update your Google listing.

super nice staff that treat you like family in a very relaxed atmosphere and with delightful food

Beer good, food meh, service okayish. Would go back for drinks only, otherwise food not worth the price nor the hour wait.

Great food, great beer, great vibe. Nice chill place to grab a drink with a friend or play a game.

Food was not good

Food, beer, people, environment… it’s all the best!

So disappointing. Beer was underwhelming. Food was really just bad. The mac and cheese seemed like it was whipped up out of a box and then sprinkled with actual cheese to make it seem like something you should pay $15 for. Service? I had to get up twice to ask for a clean plate and my check even though there were all of 4 other people in the place.... I am sad that Function died.

Stopped in after moving our son into IU. Was nice and clean, and the food and beer were excellent. Will definitely make this our go-to place when we visit him!

I visited solo. Had a cream ale, a Hefeweizen, and a session IPA. All three were spot-on. I added a pretzel with the house-made mustard and beer cheese. Perfect edition, to all 3 pints, but especially the Hefeweizen. Looking forward to going back. Nice vibe.

Metal Works is one of my favorite places in Bloomington. Ashley is always my server and she does such a good job! I usually get the vegetarian club sandwich and it is fantastic. I highly recommend going!

Had a pretty disappointing experience here. Called earlier in the afternoon to see if they accepted a gift card I had for this restaurant, and was told I would receive a call back to let me know. I never got a call back, but we still went in anyways. Bathrooms were dirty, and my cider glass had dried lipstick on the rim. Our food took a very long time to come out despite being only 1 of 2 tables to have ordered in the establishment. Once our food arrived, both dishes tasted like hotdogs. Very different meals, both tasted identical and neither were good. Our waitress also did not check in at any point other than to drop off food/drink, and I was told when I went to pay that they no longer accepted the gift card I had in the first place. We paid full price, and will not be returning unfortunately.

Great atmosphere friendly staff and great food

Very Vero

I had the pulled pork sandwich and the meat was room temp-cold and tasted old. After 1-2 bites I lost my appetite. Partner had wings that were drowning in butter (he ordered garlic parm, but I guess liquid garlic butter is close enough?) The next afternoon and evening neither of us left the toilet before running back in. Terrible stomach pain, vomiting and all other means of evacuation. The customer service was quite good but not worth the aftermath. I was hopeful when they changed ownership as Endeavor’s version of nachos was stale chips, cold, unmelted cheese and undercooked sausage. But it seems they are still using whatever food supply was left behind. I miss Function.

The PULLED PORK SANDWICH was awesome as was our server. Thanks Ashley for the great service! It's Bloomington's hidden gem.
