Great place!! Menu lots of unique twists and food good. Beers also, esp the porter. Went Thurs noon and staff really great / welcoming. Cool space and good vibe

Loved our visit! Jadah was fantastic and super attentive. The beer was good, but the real highlights was the truffle fries—the best I've ever had. The battered fries are great and perfectly crisp, and the chili flakes cut the heaviness of the truffle and parmesan without cutting the fat and creaminess of the fries. It's a super simple addition but so good. The strawberry cake was also good—like one of those strawberry creme chocolates.I can't recommend the bush weld sandwich, though--too much going on made it kind of taste like nothing at all at the same time, and the avocado on the bottom layer took away much-needed salt and acid from the overall composition. My wife loved her grilled cheese, though, and the tomato bisque was good too. Also, points for a pretty good pickle spear! Nice and crisp.

My husband and I stopped in here on our way through town and we are so glad that we did! I had a flight of beer and all were very tasty! We split the club sandwich and truffle fries! Everything was delicious, I highly recommend both food items! The beer and the food menu offer a great variety! The bartender and staff were very helpful with the food choices and honestly, I don't think you will be disappointed in whatever you choose! We will definitely be back again!

The food was AMAZING! Had the Bush Weld sandwich (a vegetarian sandwich) and it is packed with good stuff. Very satisfying. The tatchos were delish and a big portion. They have lots of gluten free and vegetarian friendly options and substitutions on their menu which we loved. Boyfriend had the gluten free flatbread pizza and could not believe how good the crust was. Staff was quick, kind, friendly, and attentive. We will be back.

This place should be busier than it is. A nice brewery right off the square. When it’s busy all over, this place is not. They could use some more employees though. More food options would be nice. Try the pretzels!

On a busy football Saturday night this place had exactly ONE employee trying to cover the whole place. We decided to be patient and when we finally got a menu it was all low end bar food. We left without ordering. This place had a vibe of failure and we won't be back.

It had been a while since I had come to Bloomington and I had come to metal works the other day thinking it was someplace else. The bartender there informed us that Metal Works took over the old brewery about a year ago. Decided to stop in anyway to give it a try. The bartender walked me through some of the beer selections and offered some samples to try. The beer selection itself was pretty standard--a few IPAs, a wheat beer, a light one, and a seasonal one. I had tried their pumpkin seasonal beer, but it wasn't for me. It was a sweeter brown ale served in a glass rimmed with pumpkin spice sugar. I opted for the pale ale, which I thought was pretty standard. Like the name, the interior of the bar was filled with metal sculptures and it definitely fit the theme. I would be curious to see what this brewery looks like in another year once they've established themselves a bit more.

Could this be the PERFECT microbrewery?!? Relaxed atmosphere welcoming to people of all ages and interests, and to families as well. Staff was very attentive and extremely helpful, possibly the best restaurant service we've ever had! Our server provided a personalized guide to food and beer selections based on our own tastes. He suggested off-menu food items and offered beer samples. Their beer selection is more than adequate, only limited by their in-house brewing capabilities. But with quality brews like these in house, you don't need to ship in 50 worldwide selections to choose from! When in Bloomington, DON'T MISS THIS STOP!!

I adore this place and it will be my husband's and my new go-to local spot! Every beer we tried in our flights was delicious and unique. They do the classic styles of beer really well, from stouts to IPAs to lagers, but they also really nail the fun, flavored beers. The flavors are not too heavy-handed and blend nicely with the style of beer without tasting at all fake/artificial. The food was perfect. I got a chicken sandwich with a tangy coleslaw and fries. Y'all, these fries tasted like little salty potato donuts in the BEST WAY. I don't even remember what my husband got because everything was so good it doesn't matter. The bartender was so kind and informative, answering all our beer questions and recommending his favorites. He was accommodating and attentive. Highly recommend this quiet downtown spot! Go support them :)
