Stopped in today and got two salt bagels with salmon schmear and two bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwiches. All four of us were impressed. Did not disapoint it was so good! Big shout out to Kristine R and Bryce for exceptional customer service. Kristine greeted us and gave us one of the nicest encounters we had so far in Bloomington. We ended up bringing some frozen salt bagels and matzo ball soup home with us for supper. If you are ever in Bloomington I highly recommend stopping by Gables Bagels.

Gables Bagels rocks my world!!!! Every time I get a bacon egg and cheese with chive cream cheese and it doesn’t disappoint. The coffee is also excellent and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. All around a 10/10 experience, highly recommend!

Despite only being open a few years, Gables Bagels is an essential Bloomington experience. Prices are a little high but good service and even better food justify it. Just be wary of visiting on weekends if you’re not fond of huge crowds and a very type-A ordering experience (if you know, you know).

I was visiting my alma mater for a wedding this weekend and a group of 5 of us decided to get Gables Bagles for the first time. Ed Schwartzman (the owner) gives off the best positive vibes. He was taking orders and while we were eating and he was making sure everyone ordered the best version of their bagel. The atmosphere was incredible, the bagels were fresh and delicious, and Ed was the best part. Thank you!

The Gables Bagels staff is always punctual, positive, and happy to help- even early in the morning! Absolutely the best and a MUST if you are a mom/dad/friend in town. The lines are long but go super fast and Ed makes it so entertaining you almost want the line to be longer. VERY creative menu.... bagels so fresh they come out hot (and do not ask them to be toasted - bad bagel protocol). I love this place so much not only because the food and service are so great, but it is iconic and irreplaceable. Graduation 2026 is coming too soon ....
