If anyone leaves below a 4, they need to find more joy in life. This is SUCH an amazing, local restaurant. The food is familiar yet incredibly unique. Their menu isn't 4 pages long, which I appreciate- what they do, they do VERY well. The atmosphere is like nowhere else in town, it's bright and lively. The staff is helpful and friendly and very accommodating. Peek at the menu before you arrive- nothing is too heavy- perhaps some feel this makes it more suitable for lunch. I find it to be a refreshing change. And if you feel it's better for lunch, go at lunch time! Half Bottle Bistro is a lovely place to meet up with friends for lunch or dinner- or a special night out with family. Share appetizers and/or wine. It's an experience. Open yourself up for a bright setting and a delightful meal while supporting a small local business!

I would consider this one of Bloomington’s top lunch destinations. I found myself looking for a place to take my boss to lunch. Not too upscale but not too casual.. this was it. Just the right amount of elegance without being way overpriced and outrageous. The wait staff was excellent. They made great menu recommendations and were top notch. Very modern and newly developed area. Just far enough outside of the main strip of town to make it feel like a destination. I will for sure be back to try more of the menu.

I wish they had a few lighter dishes. But the food is insanely good! Great atmosphere too. If you’d like to feel like you’re away from crowded Kirkwood, this place is great.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at Half Bottle Bistro with about 50 guests, and the night was amazing thanks to Alyssa and the incredible serving staff. Alyssa coordinated everything beautifully, thought of every detail, and worked tirelessly alongside the team to make the evening so special. The food and ambiance were fantastic, and we all had a wonderful time.
The staff here are truly outstanding, they’re the reason my milestone celebration was such a success.
