An absolute local gem—the food served at the Kitchen is all incredible and consistently good. They serve truly delectable vegan meals alongside other fare and homemade vegan seasonal soups for $5/$7 small/large—an affordable and filling option. There is something for everyone’s needs, even a kids menu, and a full coffee bar. You will not be disappointed, and it’s off a walking trail (the B-Line) that leads to south to Switchyard Park and north to downtown. Beautiful patio. Need I say more?? Go!Kid-friendliness: They have a small kids play area, especially good for toddlers & littles under 5.

Ordered a 16 oz lavender latte with regular milk. Went around 11 am and it was pretty busy, not many places to sit. The lavender syrup is very good and not overly sweet, can definitely get the taste of espresso. I would order 1/2 sweet if you aren't big on syrups, but I do think they charge extra for that maybe because it's a modification (I'm not sure, but I was charged last time when I asked for 1/2 sweet). Definitely check it out and if you're wanting to get some work done, I recommend going earlier in the day when it's not too busy.

I'm not a coffee drinker personally but the atmosphere is amazing! And don't forget to try some breakfast while you're there!

Their coffee is ok. Not stellar but not bad either. The atmosphere is great because they have free fast wifi and loads of tables with loads of grad students and under grads at their computers doing work. I go there for the atmosphere and to work, primarily. It is actually one of my favorite coffee shops. And they do roast their own coffee.

The atmosphere is lovely, the seating is ample, and the location is convenient to Switchyard Park. Parking can get a bit difficult, but it's along a walking trail, after all. I used to go regularly in Bloomington and service was excellent, but I came back after a year to meet a friend and the 3 girls working seemed more interested in chatting together than acknowledging folks. It was weird enough I've since gone to Soma anytime I've been back in Bloomington, and it's been a minute.?‍♀️ They do carry Rainbow Bakery goods, though! Plus if you're vegan/vegetarian.

Loved the atmosphere here - busy with lots of 20-somethings on their laptops or chatting, but also some single older folks enjoying a cup of coffee or breakfast. The avocado toast had some nice sprouts on it, but I was hoping the Tajin or whatever on top would have added more spice. The lavender latte was very nice. The staff at both food and drink counters were very nice. I'd gladly hang out here again.

My maple chai latte was delicious. Hopscotch prepares their drinks very well; I've always been pleased with my orders. Seating can be sparse in Hopscotch, and if you are lucky enough to get a table you soon realize that you are just too close to other customers. It can take away from the cozy feel of other coffee shops. Their conversations become yours and vice versa. Just a little too loud which is surprising considering the ample space they have to work with. Pricing can also be a bit of an issue here. After a small tip I spent around $12 for two small drinks. They are very good, but the cost to portion is a little rough.

A local hidden gem with great coffee and tasty food that is located along the popular B-Line walking path, it’s a great place to stop in for a quick coffee, a sit down breakfast/lunch or a sweet treat from the case! Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike as you are be treated with care and friendliness while the staff prepares your order. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I come to Hopscotch almost every week to cowork in the shop. The drinks are always on point, I get an oat milk cortado and their omnivore breakfast burrito is amazing.
