India Garden has the best Indian food I've ever had. I've had Indian food in San Francisco, Portland, OR, NYC -- all sorts of big cities, but, Bloomington's India Garden is my favorite! Not only do they have delicious buttery naan, but, they also have a gluten-free bread with lentils that is super delicious and that my partner, who eats gluten-free, loves! Our menu favorites are the Butter Chicken (creamy and delicious), and the Palek Paneer -- gently spicy and great actually mixed together! I know, it's nutty. But, we love it! They always send more than enough basmati rice, and a cup of complimentary spicy soup. Last time, we ordered the rice pudding which was more liquid than rice and spiced with something that was like mint. It was really good! I can't say enough good things about India Garden and I look forward to trying all their entrees!

We tried the buffet option. If we compare the buffet price $9.99/per person and the food options, it was really good.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian food is marked so not difficult to miss.

They offer the worst food. It's not fresh, they freaking serve weeks-old food. And they have the dirtiest kitchen. I had a bad experience with my family. I'll never go and will never recommend anyone.

Went there at noon on a Saturday. We asked for a menu but were told we had to eat off the buffet. Okay, fine. Whatever. ALL the food on the buffet was cold. Some of it was barely lukewarm, others were ice cold. We were still charged for it even though we only ate a couple bites of different things. Gladly paid $20 to not have to eat cold food.

I love this place! The service and food is great. I like this buffet better than one down the road - more variety. Vegetarian options, too. Staff is super nice and attentive. Highly recommended!

I ordered takeout, so I cannot comment on the atmosphere. The tandoori chicken was excellent and there were six pieces in my box.

The food was excellent, but we got the strangest "vibe" from our server, the owner, all throughout our meal.I'm going to start out by saying that I'm a senior, I'm openly gay (and I've been out for 55 years), and my partner and I ate at this restaurant on 30 July, 2023. I have a personal "trademark" of wearing rainbow suspenders. (It's more a matter of "keeping my pants up" than a statement of gay pride, and rainbow colors match everything I own!)The food overall is delicious. I was really happy with the papad (crispy wafer chips -- these are incredible!) and my lamb rogan josh. The appetizer which we ordered, chicken pakora, looked like the dregs of a day's cooking instead of six individual pieces of chicken, and the sum total of the appetizer was not enough for a mouthful. This was disappointing. As I mentioned earlier, all throughout the meal we got the strangest vibe from the owner, who seemed to "sneer" at both my partner and me when we requested a refill of a drink, even though we went out of our way to thank him and be polite to him.If you visit, be aware that the restaurant is open, but is currently being remodeled. The attitude of the owner during the course of our meal was really off-putting. Most of the food (save for the appetizer) was really delicious; but because of the attitude of the owner who was serving us, we won't be coming back.
