It was good but just didn't quite meet the level of expectation for being known as the best steakhouse in Bloomington

Great food, great service, and great place. We reserved online, were seated right away, and had a wonderful experience. We both ordered the filet, one of us the 7 oz and the other had the 11 oz. I had the salad with the vinegarette dressing, and my hubby had the beef stew soup. Everything was great!

After hearing for years how great the steaks were. I was so looking forward to my steak dinner. Only to be disappointed. The steak was a little chewy and didn't have a savory flavor. I was quite surprised. I don't think I will be going back. For as much as it cost. I expected more.

We have been dining at Little Zagrebs for many years. The service and food never disappoints. The meatballs, steaks and sides are delicious. The service is exceptional. This evening our waitress (Laura) was so awesome. She had great recommendations and was a fantastic server. Recently while visiting Colorado we had a steak dinner at a 3 star Michelin restaurant. I will have to say that the steaks at Janko’s are as good if not better. I would highly recommend Janko’s little Zagrebs for a great dining experience!

Food: $47 ribeye was a waste of money. I could have spent $20 more and got a phenomenal steak in Indianapolis or gone to Texas Roadhouse and been much better off. This ribeye had very little flavor. Definitely not worth the price. I do not recommend. Lamb chops were excellent. Meatballs were good. Rolls were good. Soup was good.Service: Servers were attentive. Cups were refilled without having to ask. Only negative was our server took away our green jello while we were still eating it, and she did not even ask. The plate was very close to us.Atmosphere: The decor was good. IU fans will like the memorabilia. The tables were quite small and very close together. It could make someone feel claustrophobic.Overall my bill was $130. The steak was disappointing. If I choose to come back it will be for something much cheaper.

Food and service is amazing. It’s an institution. However, their bathrooms are disgusting and it’s time for an update. There is nostalgia involved, but the place needs a makeover. We love it, but it’s time to step up here.
Terrific steaks & other at a fair price, but a true mom & pop type place. Tables crammed together (I could've eaten off the next tables plates), plastic upholstered convention seats and tiny tables. Everything comes with a baked potato and a salad... only veg were asparagus or broccoli. The noise level was over the top too given the number of people crammed in. Given that, if you're prepared for the experience the food was really good & service friendly and fast.

Came here for my son's 19th birthday. Everyone was very friendly and service was great. The dinner rolls were delicious but that was about it. The salad tasted like nothing, added pepper to see if that would help and it didn't. The chicken portion was huge but was extremely bland. Both steaks we ordered(ribeye & New York Strip) had no flavor whatsoever. Extremely disappointing.
