Excellent pizza (traditional crust; red sauce), classic Bloomington-style, similar to Mother Bear's. I've lived in Bloomington for 35 years and Lennie's has had the best pizza in town for most of that time. (I grew up and went to college in New England; Lennie's reminds me of the medium-crust, generously sauced pizza you could find in a locally-owned place in every small small town in central Connecticut and southern Massachusetts in the 1970s and 80's.)...
Cute little place. We had reservations and were seated when we got there. Our server was fabulous! My friend and I both ordered Strombolis, and we assumed they'd be similar to the stroms at Nick's English Hut. Altho they were good, they were more like calzones (not in a crusty roll but rather in folded-over pizza dough). Overall, a good experience before seeing a concert at the Buskirk.
Very pleased with the food and service. The tortellini and stromboli were excellent. The chips & queso were fine but forgettable. Servers were attentive and friendly. We will definitely return.
