My new fav place in Bloomington. Very clean, with a wide range of options to choose from on the buffet. As a pasta salad lover, they had me from hello! Personabl, friendly staff. Highly recommend and again, I am way too excited about the pasta salad. But it's pasta salad. So when a short woman comes this month and gets overly enthusiastic about it. Its just me.

Lots of choices. Everything I had was very good. A little salty for my taste. Food could have been a little hotter.

We went in an hour before they closed on a Saturday night. there was no sushi and half of the hot food was not even there. we were there barely 15 minutes because there was nothing to eat and they charged us full price. I went back and complained and they refunded it after I told them that everybody who did eat something from them threw up. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

SANGAMON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Last month, a health inspector found live maggots, utensils with “heavy accumulation of debris,” and a cutting board with mold among other issues during a restaurant inspection in Sangamon County. Mr. Hibachi, located at 1066 E. Ash St. in Springfield, was inspected July 2. Multiple violations were found during the inspection. This included: Live maggots around the dish room Raw chicken was stored over raw carrots in the three-door cooler Employees were using a cleaning rag from the previous day rather than a sanitizer bucket A cutting board had deep cuts and mold Several utensils (including grill spatulas, food-grade containers, and lids) had debris and did not look completely cleaned before being stored Shrimp and cooked noodles were sitting with internal temperatures between 47 to 49°F Foods were not labeled with the date they had been made A full list of the violations can be found here. A follow-up inspection was scheduled for July 14. According to Sangamon County’s Public Health Inspection portal, no priority violations or priority foundation violations were found. Priority items help to prevent hazards associated with foodborne illness or injury. Priority foundation items help to support priority items. The priority and priority foundation items included things like correct handwashing, cleaned and sanitized surfaces, proper food temperatures and a lack of insects or animals present. The health department said those corrections needed to be made as quickly as possible because they could make people sick. But, just because all of the priority and priority foundation violations were corrected, it does not necessarily mean that all of the violations found on July 2 were corrected during the follow-up inspection. A future inspection will determine if all corrections have been made.

My family have eaten here in the past and it was amazing..... this morning at 11 am was a scary and different experience..... We arrived at 11 am (as they are opening) hungry and craving a fabulous buffet.... What we received is the first time in my 48 years of living... get to the buffet... grab a plate.... choose delious looking Chinese food to get it back to your table to find out it is COLD.... Like put on the line 10 minutes before they open COLD....and im not talking one item.... ALL OF THEM minus rice cold as alaska!!! I'm VERY upset and will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!!! The Management here needs to follow PROPER food handling procedures.... my wife and our adult son sat flaburbasted at the fact that all of the food on the buffet was below room temp..... discusting YUCK..... NEVER AGAIN.... A complete disgrace of 60 bucks!!! SHAME ON YOU MR HIBACHI!!!!

Food is okay! The reason I gave 3 stars is there are no tags about the dish atleast it would have been great if they mentioned it's chicken or pork or something. Personally I eat only chicken and seafood. It has been tough time for me to identify what that dish might be and avoided dishes that are hard to guess. There dish shrimp and rolled in bacon ?, I had not guess it correctly I would have eaten it assuming it's a breaded shrimp. It would be a great place for people who would love to try all kinds of meats.
There are many options in desserts. But the fruits slices are so huge that you can take just one piece of melon and fulfill your dessert appetite.i couldn't try few fruits as they are so huge and might end up wasted. The sushi are okay. Few chicken items are too dry. But the fried chicken is amazing. There are so many option for you to try.
I would love to come back again if there are name tags

The food is not good. It used to be a lot better but the last several times we’ve gone we’ve been disappointed. At the last visit we literally filled our plate after they put fresh general tsos chicken out and it was so hard and dry it was inedible. The building is so humid it’s not even comfortable to be in there.

I've never had such disgusting food from an asian buffet restaurant. I felt so sick for a long while. Most of the food is to hard to bite and only good thing was the egg drop soup.
