Great gluten free options. Staff is knowledgeable about allergies and was happy to accommodate. Curries are gf, fried rice (and other options) can be made gluten free upon request.
We usually go to the other location, but stopped by here because of hours. Delicious! We love My Thai! Great to know about another location!

Went to My Thai Downtown with my girlfriend for dinner and it was excellent! The food was freshly prepared with high quality ingredients and nicely seasoned - it was delicious. Service was outstanding. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back soon. Thanks to the great staff operating the restaurant.

Boss was very rude. When we told her that’s not what we wanted she huffed and puffed rolled her eyes and stormed off. No one checked on us for a refill and the nice waitress that wasn’t with us had to help us and give us our check. Leaves were falling onto the table so we put the umbrella up and she came out and put it back down.

Restaurantji Recommends
Best Thai food I’ve had out of 15+ places. The food speaks for itself and great prices!! There is one server who isn’t the kindest but honestly it could just be because it’s a very busy restaurant! Definitely recommend this spot as the best one in town :)

We go there everything we visit Bloomington. Great food and service.
As a new freshman at IUB, I was overwhelmed by all the food options near campus. After a 20-minute walk from my dorm to down a street packed with restaurants serving Chinese, Indian, Burmese, and more, I chose My Thai Downtown for my first meal out and I’m glad I did. Even with other guests already there, the wait time was super short, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive.
I ordered fried rice with beef and a small tom yum soup with shrimp, and my boyfriend got crispy chicken with ginger and jasmine rice. The food was so good I could cry, and the huge water cups were a surprisingly nice touch. We sat on the deck with a nice breeze, and the total was $43.17 (plus cash tip). Overall, this was a perfect first dining experience in Bloomington and I would recommend this place to anyone here. :)
I would like to give 4.5 in the food because of the spicy level is not Thai spicy level personally. However, I love the way the staff is friendly and so professional. If you want to feel comfortable and enjoy the good foods; it’s a place for you. Overall, I love the place as an introvert person. Will try again next time if I’m in Bloomington again.
Had the pad kee mao, dumplings and the noodle curry dish. The food is flavorful and decent keeping in mind that this a Thai restaurant in a small town. Overall, I’d say it’s worth a visit. My only ding is against the service which was disappointing.
