Scenic View Restaurant

I'm not associated with the place. We stopped here for breakfast before heading to Lake Monroe. It was recommended by my family to have the Premium Bloody Mary and the Crab Cake Benedict. They are now a favorite!

Had not been to this restaurant for several years and decided to give it a try again today. I don’t know if this place doesn’t have air conditioning or theirs is broken.. But all the doors were open and it was hotter inside than it was outside. We sat outside on the patio. It took a minute to get seated and even longer to be greeted by our server. Once our food was dropped off we didn’t see the server again until she dropped off the check. And then we were given someone else’s bill. The food was okay, that’s really all we can say about it. Nothing glamorous. Just okay. There are much better places to go around Bloomington for $15-$20/person meals. There is a “Scenic View” of the lake over some treetops. But mainly you are stuck looking at a worn down parking lot.

Scenic View has been around for years and offers an elevated pub-style menu. Beautiful view of Lake Monroe with ample outdoor seating under roof, or umbrella. I really like the limited menu, which allows the cooks to focus on quality of the dish. Excellent weekend spot for a peaceful Sunday brunch. Great bar menu, friendly staff, delicious food. Today was whipped feta plate appetizer, house-made veggie burger wrap, fish tacos with a delicious aioli, spicy beans with plenty of cumin, and a Raspberry Beret.

Lovely brunch and some nice beers combined with a great view of Lake Monroe. Go put some crème brûlée donuts in your cram hole!!

Do you need brunch with a view? The Scenic View Restaurant lives up to the hype of being both a restaurant and having a great view of Lake Monroe!

The name is only the start here! Had a late breakfast/brunch by the window inside as the porch was full and may require reservations on a Sunday but we for not wait and they were busy! Super nice happy server did a great job working inside and out. We started with really really good bacon bloody mary's and I had my usual Crab Cakes Benedict... ALWAYS EXCELLENT!!! My wife had a breakfast sandwich and potatoes that came with an amazing butter. I don't get here often but I'm never disappointed.

It's time to put a little bit of love into this place. Yall went bad and bougie on everyone and charge cray cray prices, at least make the place look fancier to fit the ticket.

There's nothing remarkable about anything here. My poached eggs were too hard and I don't know what in God's name possessed anyone to put cheese on a eggs benedict but you need to stop doing that right the hecc now. Honestly not something I'd drive out of my way to get to. Nice place to bring Nanna after church I guess. Learn to poach an egg.

The food wasn’t bad but it tasted a little off to me. Maybe it was what I ordered but idk, there was just this unexpected sweetness I kept getting that I didn’t like.

Food was ordinary, not much on the menu. Hours are only FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY. Brunch hours only. Waitress was super friendly.

My husband and I took our in-laws here for brunch and had a great time. The food was amazing and the view was awesome!
