Have been several times and will continue coming back. The service is top notch and staff (especially Brian) have been beyond welcoming and helpful. Dishes rotate seasonally based on what's available. The atmosphere is quaint and bright. Truly one of the gems here in Bloomington!

Had the best culinary experience I had in a while at Small Favors today. Every dish is well thought out and all of them delivered exceptionally well. Maybe few of the best vegetarian and vegan dishes I had out there as well. All in all, highly recommended. It's a blissful and memorable experience!Vegetarian options: There's a lot of vegetarian and vegan option which are exceptionally tasty!

We've been here a few times and love the food and service. It's pricey and more of a special occasion place for us, but on our most recent visit we just had wine-based cocktails and oysters. Highly recommend!

Probably my new favorite, small, local restaurant in town. Full disclosure, the owner has a local AirBnB I was staying and recommended checking it out if interested, and even then, I was throughly impressed. The place has a bar and maybe 10 tables max, but the owner and his employees looked the part of a dedicated staff. The bartender mixed drinks with ease and a little bit of style (dinner and a show), and their cocktail menus had a lot of unique twists on classical (yuzu negroni, an Old Fashioned twists involving almond favoring). We came a little late in the evening, so we weren't feeling much for food, but based off what their customers were ordering, it definitely looked like it was worth a try.Honestly, I enjoy supporting small businesses that show dedication to their craft, and this place oozes it. 10/10, highly recommend trying and going to multiple times if it's your vibe!

They don’t make food at Small Favors; they make art. We had the Eggplant Dip, The Cider Braised Ribs with Focaccia and Fries for sides. The eggplant dip was light and flavorful. The ribs were spicy, crunchy, and melt in your mouth. Our server was knowledgeable and willing to check with the kitchen to sate our curiosity on how the meal was made.10 out of 10! We’ll be back!

Had a wonderful date night at small favors last night (9/1). Food, service, and atmosphere were exceptional!! Our server made a custom NA cocktail for me which was a very kind accommodation. Greatly appreciated:) Culinary highlights were the fried green tomatoes and small favors dessert; but the real winner was the amazing staff we interacted with. Warm and welcoming from the host, to our server (I wish I could remember his name), to the food runners. All were wonderful. We hope to be back soon, cheers!

Great place but food is highly priced for what you get. Keeps student ratio down.

Thoroughly disappointed with Small Favors. Our party of 5 had a reservation for 8:30pm (restaurant is open until 10pm) and we received weak service and disappointing food. Given the nature of the restaurant the menu is already limited, and we were told that they were out of all but 3 items left on the menu. Left to choose from a literal handful of selections we settled for the eggplant dip, pimento cheese, and wagyu. All were decent tasting, but all of the true meal options and pizzas were unavailable. To book a reservation a $50 dollar deposit has to be put down and will be charged if cancelled, not to mention the required 20% gratuity. With all of this commitment, to have expectations set high. And not receive any reparations for the poor experience. Most restaurants in this situation of no food would offer some type of compensation or care. We would have even appreciated an apology. Our group left hungry and disappointed. Will NOT BE RETURNING.

The service was good, no complaints about that. Loved the fried tomatoes and the scallion tamari that came with it. The flavors in the tamari blended really well and the tomatoes were nice and crispy. The smoked eggplant: this is now my favorite form of eggplant. Went well with crispy potato chips. Forget the burrata, it's the blandest burrata dish I've ever tasted. The lentils that came with it was flavorless, and paired with a bland cheese makes a big bite of nothing. The Sicilian pies were mediocre at most. None of them were extremely bad but always left me feeling that something was missing or could've been changed. The red "gravy" was bland and the crust/topping/sauce ratio was off. - SFincione: was ruined by the anchovies. Why would anyone want them plopped onto a pizza. This made it impossible to get a bite without the fish overpowering it. - if a Sicilian were to try these pies they would cry. Please don't claim that something from a culture if you're gonna botch it Crab fat jambalaya tasted like a fried rice I make at home. I got plenty of umami from the crab fat and the scallions on top were a good touch. Unfortunately there was no other flavor profile. When I order a jambalaya I expect spice and there was none. That's false advertising this menu was really chaotic. It's like a group of chefs threw random dishes together to create it.Overall this restaurant did better in visuals/atmosphere than food. Unfortunately, I eat with my mouth, not my eyes.

Adorable inside. Best negroni ever, wouldnt know it was just a wine bar. Stunning small plates. A must visit in btown.
