I absolutely love this soma! The staff is always friendly and the service is quick, and the underground indie vibe is always fun. I absolutely loved coming here! I have lived in Bloomington for a while, and this was my go-to place- it was until recently anyways! Every time I walk in I’m suddenly met with an egregiously hot wave of air and the smell of sweat. I thought Soma had a higher standard of service, but that thought was squashed when it became month 5 of no air conditioning. I’m starting to lose hope. I do want to come back again. Genuinely am concerned for the poor baristas who work there.
Have been to the Hillside location a few times and enjoyed the service and atmosphere. Tried the Kirkwood location yesterday, and the coffee was good, but the servers were not friendly and there was racist graffiti in the bathroom; photo attached. Not sure how long they plan to leave it up, but it would be nice if they would remove it.
