Server has a lot of room to improve. Food was okay but I don’t like being upsold more meals. At this point I got full of something I wasn’t even planning on ordering leaving little room for my intended meal.

Thought the sushi size was weirdly small so I googled it, and yeah the Shrimp Tempura Roll I got is literally half (4 inches) the size of a standard sushi roll (7 to 8 inches).

Food poisoning after ordering takeout. I'm not kidding, despite the restaurant trying to pretend otherwise. The food tasted good before it exploded out of my body, if it makes you guys feel any better.

They, make the sushi fresh when you order it!! It does take a little longer but fresh sushi tastes amazing! Sushi bar is one of the best places in Bloomington for sushi!!

We tried this establishment for the first time on a fairly calm Friday evening and the main takeaway we got was: order online, don’t dine in. This restaurant seems to prioritize online orders rather than in store orders, or that’s what it seemed like when we ate there. There were maybe 3-4 tables seated including ourselves so it was not busy but it took 1.5 hours to get our food. We didn’t get an overly complex order either; just sushi and rice. The food was good but not worth the wait. They were very on top of online orders however. We saw several go out quickly while we were seated. After 1.25 hours we asked if our food had even been started yet because if it wasn’t we’d have left but they basically started it immediately after we said something. The server only waited on us for the drinks and then we never saw him again. We had to flag down a different server to ask if our food was coming or not and to get our check.
The sushi was good but not worth an hour and a half wait. Overall the service was very poor but the food was decent.
Also side note: the water has a really weird strong taste to it.

Multipurpose
Nice cosy setting. Sushi is delicious but their highlight has got to be the bento boxes! You can select from a range of meats like salmon, beef or chicken, all grilled, which imo is much healthier! Portion is very generous too. Friendly staff and they remember the regulars. I came here throughout my college years, definitely recommend! It can be reached via the CM route campus bus that stops diagonally across the street.

So nice!! I love this place. The environment is so quiet and peaceful and the staff are really nice and friendly. The food is very delicious. Costs about $15-$20 per person though.

Sushi was decent- value wise I would say on par with similar quality restaurants. The salmon and hamachi nigiri were very good. The tuna nigiri and tuna rolls tasted odd. Service was very slow despite being one of four tables at the time. A number of improvements could be made atmosphere wise. The seating areas are fairly solid but the menu looks like it was thrown together in 3 minutes in word. Half an hour of effort or a template could make this look like a fine dining menu. Overall decor was very basic. If you want solidly middle of the road sushi this is a good option for the price.
