Hands down, best cocktail bar in town. It's literally a hidden gem. Make a reservation! And don't plan on picking your own seat. They're expecting you and know where they want you! The ambiance is the best in town. Don't let the location fool you. It's nothing like the space surrounding it! Don't go if you're trying to be cheap. It's pricey. And worth it.
The drinks are always expertly made to order, and they are happy to make any substitutions you can think of. Prices are fair for the experience and expertise that each librarian brings to Library.

The Library truly transports you to a special cocktail experience! We have been to speakeasy-style cocktail centric spots like The Patterson House in Nashville, and we felt this place was on par with that level of quality. The cocktails (and mocktails) were top notch and the mixologists provide the showmanship you’d expect as you watch them mix and muddle. You would never know you were ensconced in a rowdy college bar outside the walls. Despite the time limit per reservation, we never felt rushed and nobody even nudged us about it. We just soaked it up! There were so many cocktails I want to try, so we will definitely be back. I had the complimentary mocktail (so yummy), the seasonal Winter Cosmopolitan, and the No-jito (NA) which tasted like the real thing sans buzz. Husband had two different Old Fashioneds. Loved them all.
Such a fun girls night or date night spot! Great decor and drinks were amazing and very fun to try. Got great popcorn and definitely a great nighttime activity to switch things up!

While the drinks are expensive, the ambience and service are excellent as is the selection. We tried six different drinks, and all were exquisite. When we exited into the noise of the upstairs pub we felt we had been transported for the last two hours.

I don't want to give too many spoilers out, but we had a fantastic time celebrating my partner's birthday ! Going through the secret entrance to get into the lounge was the most fun for me. Our bartender was well versed in the drinks he was making for us and our hostess was super sweet ! It was really like going back in time - they even had silent movies playing ! The names of the drinks are fun and whimsical. But I ended up getting a pina colada to be safe. I'm glad I did, because getting it was quite a show !

A speakeasy inside of a bar.. only accessible by reservations and coded entry. The best mixologists in Bloomington. Full menu of fine cocktails if you don't come with something in mind.The atmosphere was amazingly chill compared to the bar outside.

Went here for the first time this week for a 90 minute reservation starting at 5:30pm. The experience starts with the entry to the bar; our host Karthik showed me into the book decorated vestry using his entry card; he then explained the speakeasy rules. The venue itself is super cosy, only seating about 20 people; the two bartenders Jake and Heather had to work hard to create and present their concoctions as the venue filled up. I started with an all spice Rum drink and finished up just before 7 with a custom Zombie - I swapped light rum for Cachaca which they were happy to do. A great and unique Bloomington experience - highly recommended!

Everytime I have ever gone to The Library, I have had the best experience. The drinks are so amazing, the bartenders are amazing, and the atmosphere is just so cool. It’s always my favorite thing bringing a friend who hasn’t been before and just listening to how much they love it!!!
