The Office Lounge & Liquor Store

I hate to leave this very honest review about discrimination however:
I frequented The office lounge and recently went to celebrate my 35th birthday. There was an older woman bartender who told the guests that I came with, that I "mooch" because she noticed that many of the gentlemen usually offer to buy me a drink and I accept.
I'm a beautiful woman as well as business owner here in Bloomington where I have lived for 15 years. I thought it was very hurtful and unprofessional of the bartender to gossip personal feelings to my guest on my special day.
I am a kind person, so to hear this I understood why I stood at the bar waiting to order while the bartender served others and didn't acknowledge me. I feel I was penalized for allowing gentlemen to treat me to cocktails and discriminated against. The only other issue I have ever had at this bar is that my car was hit buy another customer as the parking lot is small. I did not complain I simply worked it out with a person who hit my car and ended up making a new friend. I wish this business well but I will not be frequenting.

Great patio experience for the IU win

I have always wanted to come in and check out the Office Lounge, but never could find a place to park outside. I found out that you can actually park across the street and at the office building next door! I believe Carrie was my waitress, and she was fantastic and attentive. Very funny as well. As a single woman, I appreciate being able to walk into a bar and sit and read the news without anyone staring or thinking I’m there to be picked up. I felt totally safe and comfortable the whole time. If I wanted to be more social, I’m sure I could have sat up at the bar and chatted with those folks. Very laid-back vibe. Food was really excellent, hot, and drinks reasonably priced. I hope to become a regular and meet Larry one day.

I love this place. Never had a bad meal. Cheap drinks, good food, liquor store in the front? What more could you need? Perfect drinking hole with plenty going on.

Food is always the best, definitely not bar food or what you would expect to be. Definitely quality, and the atmosphere is pretty awesome as well. Friendly bartenders and wait staff and the locals are knowledgeable and can help you with your visit on things to do and see if you are new to the area or passing through. Definitely a place to visit with pull tabs and pool as well as fun on Friday and Saturday night Karaoke.

It's listed as a liquor store, they do have carryout but it's a bar really.

Great servers really fun experience

My go to place when I visit my home state and am in need of a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Always spot on!! If you want the real deal, then look no further. It's the kind of place at which anyone would be comfortable becoming a local. I do need to spend more at The Office!

Leaving this review simply because the average is way too low. Great drinks (killer gin and tonic) and lovely service. Karaoke night is on another level. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Best bar experience in bloomington with the best Kareoke ever. Food is good enough to eat, drinks are perfect, Kareoke is worth living in this city for.Also, the average review for this place is way too low... No animals in a place of FOOD SERVICE is a standard that has simply become out of fashion. Sorry about your disability and appreciate your service, but tanking this place's credit because your a dog advocate is silly. The OL deserves better.
