Was in Bloomington for the Eclipse and loved this spot. Staff was extremely friendly and were constantly smiling despite the long lineups on Eclipse day. Breakfast sandwiches were delicious and atmosphere inside and outside the shop were wonderful. And extremely clean bathrooms! When I asked the owner if it was typically as busy as it was that day, he asked 'how was everything'. I appreciated that he was genuinely concerned that we were happy with our experience. A great spot.

Went once so far, it's on the opposite side of town. Latte was good so was the egg bites. Nice atmosphere.

Great neighborhood coffee shop! The staff are always friendly and welcoming as you come in. They have a good list of specials to keep things interesting as the months go by. Their food is also very affordable and tasty - especially the grilled cheese.

Here is my detailed review on this place, given that I've only come a handful times, only ordering basic espresso drinks. This place has it's own unique interior design and the atmosphere compared to other cafes in town. Maybe it's due to where it is located. It is perfect to come and sit down while studying, working, or having a chat. The owner and the employees have been very friendly. No complaints but compliments.Coffee (General Audience): 5/5As stated above, I've only ordered basic espresso drinks. Again, no complaints. It tastes good and that's all it matters.Coffee (Aficionado): 4/5I judge simply based on basic espresso drinks which consists of frothed milk and espresso shots. I do not expect any part-time employees to have deep knowledge and skill, however, I've been impressed by the frothing quality. Despite general knowledge, frothing can be difficult. The espresso shot, unlike most cafes, does not have sour under-extracted pull. Many places leave a lingering sour and acidic taste in mouth. This place pulls a very slight bitter end in a pleasant way. So, the espresso drinks such as macchiato and cortado with a lower milk to espresso ratio can have a slight bit bitter taste. Again, not in an unpleasable way. I would say that this is one of the best in town if you want a straight espresso or a low ratio espresso drinks. This this place is meant for general audience like any other cafes, it doesn't not offer some of the other coffee drinks I would have ordered, such as pour overs. It doesn't give other bean options it seems.

A bit chilly by the windows sometimes but it's a great study spot on the Southside of town! Pastries are delicious! When the weather is warm, sitting outside is great! Nice place to socialize and chat with friends.

While on a visit to IU, I searched for a good coffee shop. Verona came up with 4.9 stars, and they proved to be worth the rating.

Love it! Best coffee in town and beautiful location❤️ I wish they had menus maybe closer to the front door-- I didn't want to hold up the line!Parking: Bottom of apt. complex and on corner business strip makes it sometimes harder to find a closer spot.

I visited Verona with a friend when they first opened, and since I don't live super close by, I hadn't gotten a chance to go back until today. They've really grown their business and their food and coffee options! It was super busy when I got there, but I could tell it's because the staff is committed to making quality drinks and food, which takes a bit longer. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sconewich and a pecan cold brew, both of which were delicious. I need to put Verona in my regular coffee shop rotation!Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten-free pastry options.

Our AirBnb suggested Cafe Verona as it was a short walk from our place. Nice, quiet place. Baked goods and coffee very good and friendly service. Nice Starbucks alternative.

Just about the coffee in town (Partridge & Quigley). Never tastes burned or bitter. Haven't tried the food so no comment there. But staff is friendly and helpful. Just wish it was a bit closer to my house.

BURNT EXPRESSO. Three visits in a row they burnt the shot of espresso and gave me an incredibly bitter cafe coffee drink. This place seams too fancy for its own good.they.The management needs to pay more attention towards how to pull good coffee from Thier expensive EXPRESSO machine, then passing that knowledge down to the employees. Also go hire a small business design consultant from the artsier side of Bloomington to help you actually figure out a good coffeeshop aesthetic and layout that works with your furniture and style.
