It was really nice
We might have caught this place on an off day. However it is the end of June and the height of vacation season. Also it was a weekend! Helloooo!! The place was grossly understaffed. Only one person covering the patio and the whole inside seating area. The coleslaw was warm and tasted spoiled. The portions were not good for the price. The view is nice but you would think they would capitalize on that with their eatery. We were disappointed and probably won't eat there again. Refills were not happening. Water wasn't even refilled one time even when requested. Beautiful location but eatery grossly lacking.
Drinks were sub par service was terrible had to almost beg just to pay our tab to leave
First night was okay. The pretzel was hot and tasty. The pizza was okay. The coconut shrimp was burnt.
Second night I was hangry for a tenderloin sandwich and I remembered it being on the menu so I tried to order one. They said the menu was limited and didn't have any. So I figured I would try the burger instead. NO BURGERS EITHER. Labor day weekend and all they had was pizza and wings! REALLY??? Who does that on a busy Labor Day weekend??? Then surprise number 2 the ice machine didn't work! What hotel has ice machines that don't work? REALLY?? As much as everything costs you would think they would at least clean some of the spider webs out of the rooms but no they didn't. The rooms all smell mildewy and stuffy. The sheets didn't fit the bed. The best part of our stay was being out on the super expensive fishing boat rental AWAY from the hotel room. Sleeping here and trying to eat here is a nightmare. Looks are very deceiving.

Excellent food, fair prices, good drinks, friendly staff. Just an all around good experience.

We were excited to eat lunch on the lake today and went to Windjammer for the first time, but next time we will settle for our pbj’s on the boat. The two waitresses were less than enthused to be there and the wait was so long. I haven’t experienced service this bad. Our appetizer was a hot pretzel with cheese and it came out frozen. Entrees were also cold and buns stale. There was no offer to slightly discount our meal at all.

Very short staffed. Was told manager didn't schedule enough people. Food very poor quality and over priced. Price would have been fine if food was better. Barely eatible! Very disappointing.

5 of us ate at Windjammer for dinner tonight. The restaurant was mostly empty but the food still came out cold. Sent some of it back but that food came out room temperature at best the second time. This marks the first time in my life I’ve sent food back or posted a review of any kind but feel compelled given the experience.

Horrible experience. The food is actually decent but the service is horrible. Not once did i see some sort of manager assisting these children servers. During summer months be prepared to wait over 2 hours for a table.

Food not bad. View is great. Service and wait is so poor it’s hard to describe. Go somewhere else unless you have several hours and can wait a long time to eat.

Good grief this place is frustrating! The food is always just "OK". Largest lake in Indiana and there's one restaurant on it, so it is what it is. The last 2 times we've tried to dine here they've been shut-down, contrary to their posted hours online. Today we even vmcalled 30 minutes ahead to confirm that they'd be open today. Boat across the lake, hoof it up the mile long hill with 2 kids-CLOSED! The handwritten note on the door said "unexpected equipment failure". Does that stuff happen? Probably, but they need to get their a t together or get a new tenant that can wither maintain the equipment properly or work-around such issues. Would be even more frustrating if you were trying to stay in the subpar hotel and the one restaurant on property was out of order...

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. This is my favorite local restaurant. There is literally nothing else like this anywhere around. Beautiful lakeside outdoor seating, great food, decent draft selection, staff are kind and courteous, live bands on the weekend, outdoor games. Awesome vibe. This place is friggin great. I only wish that they were more active on their Facebook page so that we know events ahead of time, and I also wish they were open later on the weekends. Definitely recommend.

Nice restaurant by the lake. Food is good? service is decent, can be slower on busy nights. Whatever, you're next to the lake with boos. Relax and enjoy your time.

This restaurant has extremely rude staff. We were told by a waitress on a Saturday not to come back for dinner because it would be too busy. Sunday at 7 we were turned away and told we could not order due to staffing when there was a half full restaurant. They were rude and totally unwilling to accommodate us.
