Good grief this place is frustrating! The food is always just "OK". Largest lake in Indiana and there's one restaurant on it, so it is what it is. The last 2 times we've tried to dine here they've been shut-down, contrary to their posted hours online. Today we even vmcalled 30 minutes ahead to confirm that they'd be open today. Boat across the lake, hoof it up the mile long hill with 2 kids-CLOSED! The handwritten note on the door said "unexpected equipment failure". Does that stuff happen? Probably, but they need to get their a t together or get a new tenant that can wither maintain the equipment properly or work-around such issues. Would be even more frustrating if you were trying to stay in the subpar hotel and the one restaurant on property was out of order...

IF we could give this dump a ZERO rating that's what it would get. We knew it was off season and they would be closed Monday-Wednesday then open Thursday-Sunday we get that but when you are OPEN at least have servers cause when we went there the place was empty and the only way to order was thru the bartender at the bar. We ordered the Peppy pizza. 10 inch cheese and pepperoni. What they served us was a cheap BOX pizza not even close to any pizza we were expecting. So our opinion is just stay away don't waste your time or money.

This place could be so successful. It has a great location, no competition, and entertainment is always good. But time and time again the food service is beyond frustrating. The servers are so sweet and friendly but the drinks and food take forever. Last time I was there they were literally out of everything (salads, fish, nachos, etc). Considering how small their menu is to begin with it was disappointing.

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. This is my favorite local restaurant. There is literally nothing else like this anywhere around. Beautiful lakeside outdoor seating, great food, decent draft selection, staff are kind and courteous, live bands on the weekend, outdoor games. Awesome vibe. This place is friggin great. I only wish that they were more active on their Facebook page so that we know events ahead of time, and I also wish they were open later on the weekends. Definitely recommend.

Nice restaurant by the lake. Food is good? service is decent, can be slower on busy nights. Whatever, you're next to the lake with boos. Relax and enjoy your time.

This restaurant has extremely rude staff. We were told by a waitress on a Saturday not to come back for dinner because it would be too busy. Sunday at 7 we were turned away and told we could not order due to staffing when there was a half full restaurant. They were rude and totally unwilling to accommodate us.

Had lunch at Wind Jammer on a Sunday at 1pm. It was a beautiful day to be on the lake and the restaurant was fairly busy. The wait staff were running around to their tables and working hard. Our wait person was very kind. The problem was the quality of the food. We had 7 people in our party. Those who ordered burgers had no complaints. The Mahi Mahi on the tacos and Greek salad was so dry, it was difficult to cut and chew as was the chicken on another Greek salad. The fish and chips was nothing to write home about either. Way over-priced for the poor quality food. Our wait person was not penalized in his tip. He did an excellent job!We did enjoy our day on the lake with a very nice rented pontoon.

View Great, food/service not so much.Food:Most of the food that is on the menu seems to be overpriced for the quality & quantity given.Food Eaten: Coconut shrimp (4/10) -$22Service:Servers are great people who were all nice. No issues with their ability to serve or communicate. On the other hand they seem to be way understaffed. It took around 1.5 hours to get our entrees, and when they came out we were not impressed.I give this location a 2/5 stars for the location and how nice the staff was (most but not all) .

Mixed experience here my hamburger was good my wife's chicken tenders were Overcooked. We were not told when ordering that the storm had knocked out their ability to make half the menu. I know the storm is partially to blame for this but a heads up would have been nice.

Awful food, extremely overpriced. They prey on the fact that people will get drunk on the docks and not be able to go elsewhere. Truly terrible, you're better off microwaving a frozen dinner.

Don't waste your time. Place is garbage. They don't care about their customers at all. Go eat at Sahm's instead. Can't even get a full beer at the bar. Half of it was foam. Will never be a good place to get food or drinks from.

We had some great food and I have to say the ambiance was just amazing. We had just been forced to leave an establishment nearby because the bartender didn’t like the conversation the folks next to us we’re having.Well located by the water. The food and service were excellent considering how busy they were.Prices are more than reasonable for what they offer. This place has definitely become our new go to when in town

AWESOME place. Being near the lake right down from the fishing spot is great. My friends got booted out from a bar for no reason and l met them here. Different environment but l did notice a few other people made the switch too.

I would of given a zero if I could. Recently I went to the Windjammer and was sat at a table. 20 mins passed an no server came too our table. Folks next to us came in and get seated 10 mins after us and get a server right away. We asked the waitress if someone was coming to our table. She said she would get someone and get back to us. No one ever came. They were not busy maybe 6 other tables eating. We dediced to leave and will never be back. I recommend others to do the same. Definately not managed well. Go eat elsewhere...well if u want a place to sit and be left alone this is the place to go too. They are great at that from my experience!!
